As a retired physician, I stumbled into the sardine 'fast' by accident. Cleaning out my pantry, I had way too many cans — my wife won't touch them, so I figured I'd finish them off instead of water fasting. Two cans of sardines three times a day with just water and coffee for three days, then switched to mackerel and Icelandic cod liver, one of each per meal. Felt great, stayed full, no issues.
