Uganda security personnel have attacked, beaten and arrested journalists covering Kawempe North by-election. Some media equipment have been seized while others have been damaged. Security personnel are literally hunting journalists, who are now in hiding. #JournalismIsNotACrime

Yesterday, Rubio terminated 5800 USAID contracts – more than 90% of its foreign aid programs – in defiance of the courts. Here’s a list of just some of the lifesaving awards that were terminated. Nearly all were Congressional mandated. They've saved millions of lives. 🧵

While attention is on the Elon Ebola comment, this is the really big news of the day. More than 90% of USAID contracts (projects) terminated. Meaning basically everything, including much of the food and emergency aid that was supposed to be exempted.
