@ajfworship If we're going to be all stilted & put things in tiered categories, we might as go all the way & exclude O Come O Come Emmanuel too as it's clearly an advent hymn, not a Christmas hymn.

There is no way that “O come all ye faithful” is low-tier. It’s not Christmas until “Word of the Father” with the Willcocks’s chord.

“O Come O Come Emmanuel” and “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” are an order of magnitude above almost all other Christmas hymns, substance-wise, and it’s not close. Hate to say it but “O Come All Ye Faithful” and “Silent Night” are squarely in the lower tier.

@elonmusk The problem is that we don't yet see it, “caring deeply about truth,” but rather we see the exact opposite. There may be potential for AI to greatly increase human flourishing, but the current iterations all seem to have rot down in the bones.

The most likely outcome is that AI and robots make everyone wealthy. In fact, far wealthier than the richest person on Earth 👀
By this, I mean that people will have access to everything from medical care that is superhuman to games that are far more fun that what exists today.
We do need to make sure that AI cares deeply about truth and beauty for this to be the probable future.
