Is it more likely that: A. Ian Cunningham is one of the 32 smartest/most dedicated football fans in the world ... or... B. He is simply one of the very few people with the time, comfort, and lack of alternatives necessary to spend 20+ years grinding away at an extremely low wage to slowly work his way up to GM in a cronyist ole boys club? Like most GMs, he isn't any better at this than your smart friends. He just soaked off his rich daddy's money for years while earning minimum wage as a scout, then leaned on his family's friends to work his way up the ladder to a job he isn't good at. Many such cases. (Worth noting that his dad was an agent for Michael Jordan and others. Like all these guys, he not only comes from money but also has connections in the bizzz)

@davehelman_ The cowboys are pretty consistently good, playoff caliber team. Nothing like being a jets fan. We haven’t seen the playoffs since 2010, and our last good QB was probably Chad Pennington.

The movement on these pitches in the Mets game is absurd right now. Good pitchers and cold weather. No wonder its so low scoring. Devin Williams threw a changeup with 30" of tail. Brooks Raley a sweeper with 28" of sweep. Luke Weaver 24" vert on the 4-seam. Video game numbers.

@metsventpage The lineup isn't that different man, Baty, Alvy were in the lineup last year. Mcneil a better hitter than Semien at this point, and Robert/Benge we shall see. Both lineups top 5 ish in baseball.

my thing is 1-9 the Mets have good/great hitters, in contrast to 2025 when it was just 1-4/5 with the rest being auto outs
