France made this wastefulness illegal cause it’s cruel and only causes more waste issues. Any food market or restaurant over 400 square meters has to donate all their good unsold food to charities and are fined if they do anything like this. That law should be applied everywhere

An American showed what his local Krispy Kreme does with unsold donuts at night. Straight into the trash. After private equity took over, the price of a dozen climbed to $22. And instead of selling them cheaper… They’d rather WASTE the food than lower the profit margin.

@jasonc_nc The manager of a dollar store in a small community near me was let go last year. One of the reasons given for why he was let go was he has not put the small general store/gas station out of business yet.

1. Pretending every dollar general in a rural crossroads community displaced a cute little general store/grocery/butcher shop is just made up fantasy.
Most of the time there was nothing there before. Would I love to live in a world where every little rural intersection had this magical couple? Sure? But oddly enough while everyone wants it to exist, no one seems interested in opening and operating this mythical business.

@Rope3582 See everyone says this but in the cases I’m speaking of there was ~nothing~ there before. It’s a nostalgic belief that every place a dollar general opened there was once a cute little general store and butchery ran by a pleasant older couple.

Dollar General discourse is funny to me because anyone who actually lives near one is like “man I’m glad I don’t have to drive 25 minutes if I forget a couple basic things” whereas the person who doesn’t even live there is like “this is a pox upon rural Americans”.

No other civilization in history has records of finding dinosaur skeletons.
Any huge bones they have found are from giant Nephilim and dragons that used to be common. Ancient civilizations have lots of records of these.
Museums are filled with imaginative fake extrapolations of giant or dragon bones.
