@mcuban Would it be possible to start an insurance company that had members pay cash/credit card so you get the cheap price then reimburse immediately or pay their credit card bill directly? What would prevent that?

I think a major first step to improving healthcare is eliminating provider networks. Make them illegal so that your insurance company pays whoever you get your care from as long as it’s at their negotiated rate or lower. Make it so every provider in good standing is in network.
I don’t know why the @ahahospitals doesn’t create a network with all their members and offer a template for direct contracting by employers, allowing them to use all member hospitals.
It would increase profits by hospitals and reduce costs for employers and patients.

Good rebuttal to Cloudflare by Perplexity.
The core point is that an AI agent is just an extension of a human. So when it makes an HTTP request, it shouldn't be treated like a bot. Functionally, Perplexity is only making this request at the user's direction.

@sychou @jjstafford Seems like such a simple problem to solve. I almost always set the same thing every morning then the same thing at night. Maybe some variances depending on the day, but still. Should be the simplest thing to "remember" and repeat that. I mean even without AI...

Has anyone ever got their Nest "smart" thermostats to do what you actually want? I've had them for a long time and I spend more time fixing what it thinks I want than I would just setting the damn things manually. I don't think it's ever got it right.

@jjstafford It's brutal right?! I started realizing how much time I spend checking to see if it's what I want. I think I might just turn off the smart features and set it manually, I'd probably spend less time thinking about it.
