How spicy would I be for making this my opening line?

@NahumOBrien My husband likes to "torture" me with a TV series here in Wisconsin called Polka, Polka, Polka! They film dances with live polka bands playing the music! Praying your treatments continue well.

The craziest thing happened this morning! I took baby to story time at the library in the next town. I started chatting with the mom beside me and she asked if she lived in the town. I said no, I live in [other town], she said “me too, by [this area]!” And I said “I live in that area too, I’m on [this street]!” And she said “me too, I’m at [number]”!
I was said “wait we met at Halloween when you came trick or treating with the kids!” She said “YES I remember, I probably think about you once a week and was wondering if I should come by with cookies” 😂 Anyway she asked for my number and said we should get together! And she said in the summer baby and me should come by for a swim because they have a pool! She’s mostly home with her kids too (toddler age) and it seems like we have some things in common! I’m so excited!

My life recently has contained more moments of joy and contentment than it has in a long time. For this I am quite thankful. When I think about my daughter, I feel a swelling of excitement to see her again in glory… and overwhelming gratitude that God makes this possible. It doesn’t replace the grief. But it exists alongside it, I suppose.

One of my neighbors kid went to trade school for HVAC at 18.
His parents were embarrassed because everyone around us, college is the only option promoted.
He spent $6k and started at $65k while his friends were still in school.
At 25 he got his contractor license. At 27 he opened his own shop.
Last year his company did $2.1 million in revenue with 3 trucks. His friends just started to pay off their student loans.
Now, my neighbors cant stop bragging about their son who also is our neighborhood HVAC tech.
Day 96 tagging @mikeroweworks to let everyone know that we need more kids like this.

A couple of prayer requests this morning. My friend Nahum is fighting the same cancer I am. We are both stage four. So I am praising God for a good report for him this morning, and I ask for continued prayers that he will be completely and miraculously healed of this cancer.
Two, tomorrow I have my first scan since being re-staged to stage four. It’s been a stressful time and the scans cause a lot of anxiety, I’ll admit. So if I could ask for prayers for God’s peace and freedom from anxiety. And also that tomorrow, my scan will be clean, and there will be no more unpleasant surprises!

Health Update: The latest scan (23 Mar) revealed that the four concerning cancerous lymph nodes are stable, which is to say they haven’t grown, most have decreased in activity, with no additional spread. In light of this, the plan moving forward is possible radiation and/… 1/7

After originally thinking she had a face fracture and would need surgery, they are now telling me after the CAT scan that she had no fracture!!!!
And that is huge!! Keep praying, but the tie good news. So many of these injuries are things that will heal!

Update: there’s bad news and good news Bad: She has a terrible gash that is down to the muscle. It’s taken out her eyebrow. Bleeding everywhere. I may have trauma just from seeing it, and I don’t even have a face. Swollen cheeks. Purple face, cuts all over. Smashed glasses. Good: She’s coherent. She’s made sense the entire time and she told the doctors accurate information. She’s been walking well and remembers important events. It seems like a concussion is unlikely. Other than a sore knee, she didn’t seem to have any major broken bones. Hip, legs, arms all seem ok. She was exercising on a nice day and her forehead took the hit. However she wasn’t dizzy and she didn’t black out. It seems like a simple accident; just that 1 out of 100 turn when you stumble. She’s going back for a CAT scan now. Thank you all so much for praying.
