@YukonStrong @WBrettWilson It's hard to respect somehow who didn't bother to do the basic arithmetic. All western provinces together still have no voice in Ottawa

I respect your opinion @WBrettWilson, and appreciate your consideration for the Yukon, and the notion of a western bloc. The problem i see is that Ottawa will agressively obstruct western collaboration through bribery and red tape, particularly on resources. They will never give us enough electoral power to determine our future. Worse, the feds will take the lion’s share of wealth through taxation and subvert our currency with deficits and inflation. Most importantly, while we argue about this the bottom line is they are importing millions of liberal voting foriegners, and I assure you it is only a matter of time until Alberta falls prey to this electoral tampering too. #WEXIT solves all of these problems It unlocks our economic future, ends the threat to civil liberties once and for all, frees us from absurd taxation, debt slavery, and installs clear and simple property rights once and for all. I don’t see any other way, and if #WEXIT fails canada is unlikely to ever recover to its former glory.

I like that Poilievre went on Rogan and didn't shit on Carney or Canada. That's how you do it. You don't do media in another country and run down your home turf or your adversaries. Guy's learning. Good. #cdnpoli

@Zakana57 @kinsellawarren What charter? The one that protects bicycle lanes but not human beings? Or is this some other piece of paper Ottawa has been wiping their ass with for forty years?

@trequor_ @paolini And all those dark and distant places will account for a minuscule % of total power demand, which will be overwhelmingly in inner-solar-system space, with most of the rest on Earth between like 45° north-south.

Looking at the world and our dependence on fossil fuels reminds me of when I was doing all my research for To Sleep in a Sea of Stars. Digging into the math of energy production completely and utterly convinced me that the only path forward for humanity is to just bite the bullet and build a ton of nuclear power plants. Nuclear is the only power source that's dense enough for humanity to keep advancing, both on this planet and throughout the solar system. Plus, it's nowhere near as dangerous as folks think. No one died from radiation at Fukushima, for example. And while nuclear isn't totally safe (nothing is), oil and coal kill a huge amount of people through pollution and knock-on political effects (see current events). There's no such thing as a free lunch. Energy is what allows for EVERYTHING in our modern world, and the more we can produce, the better life gets. But to do that, and cleanly, nuclear is the only real option at the scales we need.

It's just an example. Solar lacks reliability and portability. It's great for local, small wattage generation. It might be fine for some larger scale projects with ample sunlight and little dust. It works fantastic in LEO. But there are many dark and distant places that need LOTS of power. The Arctic/Antarctic six months out of the year, mines, the seabottom, deep forest/jungle, any exoplanets. Nuclear is unmatched for independent, on demand power.

@trequor_ @paolini What % of total power today is generated in mines? But let's say we put reactors in mines. I agree there will be several power sources. Solar will account for an increasingly vast majority, but nuclear will be there too.

This man is a puppet. I saw it first hand when he was here for the Battle River-Crowfoot by election. How do you know he is a terrible politician? Because he does not stand up for his constituents. BRC riding is the most conservative riding in all of Canada. It has the highest percentage of Alberta Seperatists. This man has the fudiciary duty to tell they're story. I have lost all respect for Poilievre based on this clip alone. He could have said many things, but he said it won't happen. Time to get a new job sir.

JOE ROGAN: "There's talk of Alberta separating." POILIEVRE: "That won't happen... people are frustrated [and] there's some legitimate frustrations, but Canada's going to stay united."

@paolini "Nuclear is the only power source that's dense enough for humanity to keep advancing, both on this planet and throughout the solar system." Incorrect. The sun will be by far the biggest power source in the inner solar system at least (including Earth).

I genuinely want to get excited about Poilievre saying something cool and disruptive in a podcast clip. But it never happens. My gut response is always this guy is so contrived & calculated - he comes across as a textbook fake politician. The anecdotes sound pre-canned the laughter feels performative and despite him and his team's efforts the things he actually says are not risque or ground breaking whatsoever. In fact they pretty well always err on the side of EXTREME caution. Am I wrong? Send me his spiciest clip from this Joe Rogan podcast. Did he at least say something bold about their only being 2 sexes? Did he push back against the Kamloops mass grave hoax? Anything good about stopping immigration? From what I've seen so far poor Joe tries his best to make Poilievre sound like a human being by disrupting the stiff calculated vibe that infects the room everytime Pierre starts speaking. I really want to have confidence in Poilievre and know that he has the charisma and is capable of shifting the conversation in Canada... But I watch him in action and I don't feel anything. I watch speech after sound byte after big opportunity like this and don't see anything worth getting excited about.

@Degen_CPA This is only a problem for midwits. High IQ people can play these politeness game with very little effort. They can make friends on autopilot while thinking about something more stimulating.

Wasn’t it proven that autopilot is programmed to disengage when it registers it’s about to crash? If it turns off 4 seconds before impact that means the autopilot caused the crash How are we this stupid
Nic Cruz Patane@niccruzpatane

Elon Musk confirmed via Telemetry Data that the woman driving the Cybertruck in this video disengaged the system four seconds before the crash. She was manually driving throughout this entire video. Don't believe everything you see/hear from Legacy Media about Tesla.

@Reiteller @trequor_ @TheFemoid In this case the autopilot turned off because the driver tried to slam on the breaks because they realized the autopilot was going way to fast and was going to cause a crash. So the system didn't detect the crash coming, she did, and that's the problem (with the autopilot).
