Sophie Cunningham: The Enforcer

Literally, the last five “writers” I’ve followed back have automatically DM’d me to start up the same style of conversation: “Hello! Thanks for the follow back! I love connecting with fellow authors. How are you?” or “What kind of books do you write?” Super generic. Super suspicious. Obviously my bio tells you what I write. And I am fine. My posts will tell you so. No reason to be in my DMs. I will not respond to anything like that. Nowhere in my bio does it say, “I’m looking for friends to have long, private conversations with.” It’s a business account and creative outlet, not an ad looking for your editing/art/promo services, or asking for your links. If I want your link, I will ask. 🤙🏽
