I came really close to buying this BBQ restaurant for $650k in 2021.
It was doing $235k in annual profit. The food was terrible, if i'm being honest. But the reviews were somehow 4.6 stars from 1,100 people.
The location was in a 110,000 person suburb outside Dallas. Prime spot. 9/10 location
It was the only non chain BBQ place in the entire town. Every other option was Dickey's or Rudy's.
The place stayed packed despite serving pretty bad BBQ. That's how solid that location was
My friend and I are Franklin disciples. We were going to bring his flavor profile to this spot. Better brisket, better sides, better everything.
But then I started thinking. Some people prefer crappy BBQ. The reviews proved it.
We might've pushed out the blue collar crowd and brought in the millennial crowd instead. Risky.
The deal fell apart anyway. The landlord was crazy and wouldn't play ball. Probably saved me from myself.
One day I'm buying or starting a BBQ restaurant no matter how many people tell me it's a terrible idea. I just have to check that box.

@MensHumor And the General Stores that Sears replaced….the Mom and Pop rural stores would say “We need to go back” too…..

@LangmanVince Never happened….they dont get that copy back. Why do you pretend servers are pricks….like you?

@TheToyJesus @prowlores @kirawontmiss The service you paid for is no ads….which you are still receiving…
English

@prowlores @kirawontmiss You are entitled to the service you paid for. There is no blanket reason people subscribe to someone. Some may be for support, others may be specifically for Ads.
English

@dan66170 @kirawontmiss You're not, the ads are. You are punishing the subscribers by pausing.
English

@TheToyJesus @kirawontmiss You can’t just turn ads off on twitch, they don’t let you do that. You can make it so that they play as little as possible, which he already has on. But even when he pauses for the ads, he’s still engaging with his chat so the actual subscribers probably don’t care
English

@TheToyJesus @kirawontmiss You cant turn ads off and get Partner pay…sub money.
English

@kirawontmiss Must suck for his actual subscribers. They pay to remove ads only to have to wait for everyone else to watch ads. I'm not familiar with this guy, but he could just turn his ads off, so no one will have to sit through them.

@kirawontmiss @caseohOOC Hes the GOAT and probably always will be, all while giving everyone a family friendly stream…..

@lak3show @TrumpGirlLove Its like commenting its not illegal to walk on a sidewalk after someone shanks a dude and is walking away……

@trickortrock @TrumpGirlLove Of course not? Never said it was. Just said I don’t get why people think lane splitting is so bad

@WallStreetApes If she went to “more options” her video would’ve been there….crashout for no reason

American is furious, she’s yelling at her TV
She spent around $40 to buy the Hunger Games movie collection on Amazon
She wants to watch Hunger Games Catching Fire. The movie says “unavailable” even though she bought it
Many people don’t know this but when you “buy” a movie or bundle on Prime Video, you’re not actually owning the film like a DVD or Bluray. You’re buying a non-transferable license to stream/download it as long as Amazon has the rights from the studio
Licensing deals expire, get renegotiated, or the rights move to another streamer (HBO Max, Netflix, etc.). When that happens, even paid content can vanish from your library or show as “currently unavailable.”
Amazon’s own terms of use state this in the fine print:
“Purchased Digital Content will generally continue to be available… but may become unavailable due to potential content provider licensing restrictions or for other reasons, and Amazon will not be liable to you if Purchased Digital Content becomes unavailable.”
If you’re going to buy a movie, don’t buy it on Amazon. Always buy the physical disk
