Not gonna lie, it’s a risk. Mostly tactically But based on the fact that few elite coaches are available - due to the World Cup in part - probably a risk worth taking His understanding of player quality and squad rotation is elite. And summer recruits can only aid that aspect

You would imagine if Utd were going to give the Carrick the job, they would have already, there is no benefit of delaying that appointment. I expect him to get the job regardless but it doesn’t look like they’ve made up their mind yet

I've been fine with letting Rashford leave but realistically which wingers in the market are significant upgrades, & which have the ability to give output like him.
