I wouldn’t be so sure about that. Trades like HVAC and plumbing will probably be among the last to be affected by AI and robotics, but it is not hard to imagine a future where remotely operated robots do the work while being controlled from another state or even another country, similar to remote surgery robots.

Electricians, plumbers and HVAC technicians watching AI wipe out nearly every other job.

This will probably just motivate more homeowners to do the work themselves. I replaced my natural gas heater in a few hours, including the expansion tank, and a local scrap metal collector picked up the old unit from my curb for free. A plumber would charge about $1,500 for the same heater swap.

Wait, what? 5 minutes to charge 3,000km? 🧐 At an efficient 15kWh/100km, that’s a 450kWh battery. To shove that much juice in 5 mins at 800V, we're talking 6,750 Amps. For context, a standard charging cable is about 25mm thick. To handle 6,700+ Amps without melting into a puddle of copper soup, you’d need a cable roughly 250mm (10 inches) thick. I assume the charging handle comes with built-in liquid nitrogen cooling and a 'Do Not Touch Unless You Want to Become Plasma' warning label.

That’s true, but he didn’t mention that the internals are basically stuck at 2022 era 7 nm technology after the US restrictions on Huawei over security concerns. It’s like putting a Lamborghini Aventador body on a Ford Escort engine. It looks amazing but doesn’t quite deliver when you hit the gas.

@XueJia24682 To be fair it is made of metal and soft plastic so there is not much point that can break except lens glass. And soft oled surviving this kind of drops is good sign for future. Also it is technically surviving but outer panel is getting scretched badly for sure.
