Why some Democrats want to shut off Hasan Piker’s ‘megaphone’ dlvr.it/TRlV8x

New: Mamdani has avoided addressing his wife's controversial social media history by insisting the first lady is "a private person" — but even some of his own allies are beginning to question that claim and believe he needs to confront the issue head on. politico.com/news/2026/03/3…

"The Campaign Against Hasan Piker Is About Crushing the Left" Centrist groups like Third Way are trying to cancel the popular progressive streamer as part of their campaign to ‘reduce far-left influence.’ Why are top Democrats joining in? zeteo.com/p/third-way-ha…

Did not know that Stephen A. is actually a bit of a maniac. Defending AIPAC and the war on Iran? Bizarre

Jewish students should not be subject to constant hate and intimidation on their own campuses! Individuals should not score political brownie points by platforming antisemites! Where is the leadership at @UMich and @michiganstateu? Silence is unacceptable! Federal funding should go to institutions that prioritize education, not ideological agendas or tolerated hate. @StopAntisemites @realDonaldTrump @realDonaldTrump @AGPamBondi @ChadGilmartinCA @GatesMcgavick @N_Baldassarre

1) I think people in this online echo chamber majorly overestimate how much normal people/Michiganders know and care about Hasan Piker. 2) I’ve had major issues with some things he’s said, but IMO he’s not in the same realm as Nick Fuentes. 3) This pivot from McMorrow seems like a strategic bet that Stevens voters are more gettable than El-Sayed voters, and maybe that more undecideds are deciding between McMorrow and Stevens. And that she was never going to outflank Abdul on being progressive or on Israel-Gaza — essentially conceding the left lane and trying to chart a Goldilocks path to the nomination. 4) Whether intentional or not, I think this will make it more likely that AIPAC will turn their fire on El-Sayed alone, rather than both McMorrow and El-Sayed (which seemed to be their plan before).

Michigan State Rep Carrie Rheingans (D-Ann Arbor), who's endorsed Abdul El-Sayed in the race, has pulled herself out of the Ann Arbor rally with Hasan Piker. Reason unknown.

Dem @GovAndyBeshear is declining to call Israel’s actions in Gaza “genocide.” “That’s becoming one of those new litmus tests that we said we would never do as a party,” he told our @DashaBurns on #TheConversation. Listen to the full interview: politi.co/4uVmEfE

California governor and likely 2028 Democratic presidential candidate Gavin Newsom is in full lockstep with Trump’s fuel blockade and strangulation of Cuba, saying that the president’s policies “created the conditions” in favor of the U.S. and that he “absolutely” supports bringing “U.S. democracy” to the island.
