From 60% to 90% U-235 enrichment requires only ~1-5% of the total separative work units (SWU) needed from natural uranium—over 90% of the effort is already done by 60%.
Using Iran's current centrifuge capacity (~130 SWU/day at Natanz + Fordow), experts (Iran Watch, ISIS) estimate their 60% stockpile could yield enough 90% material for 5 weapons in ~1 week or 8 in under 2 weeks. A few advanced cascades alone could hit weapons-grade for one device in days to a couple weeks.
The remaining step is quick but still needs reconfiguration and processing.
