“A small but reckless group of recidivist speeders poses a grave threat to the health and safety of everyone. That is why we, and Mayor Mamdani, support Intelligent Speed Assistance to rein in super speeders and save lives.” Commissioner Flynn’s op-ed: nydailynews.com/2026/04/25/alb…

@StreetsblogNYC Wow what a group of D-Bags you are. Can’t defend your horrible street designs causing death all over the city the majority of NY’ers hate so deflect and gaslight. You should be arrested and charged with endangering the public. You’re guilty of killing people.

The NYPD cop who ran over and fatally dragged a man laying in a Flushing Meadows park path was putting on lipgloss while driving — and will not face charges for the incident. buff.ly/mtwPAOi

This was part of a hunger strike protest against a bill in the council and the hunger strike ended yesterday. They were protesting the council & the mayor in opposition to the bill. documentedny.com/2026/04/23/hom… I know this app is filled with a lot of idiocy but I can’t stand misinfo
Jacqueline Toboroff 🇺🇸@jacquetnyc

My viral video reached the top of the NYPD, @NYCMayorsOffice @ZohranKMamdani , & NYC Council member Christopher Marte @nycdistrict1 over porta potties ILLEGALLY dumped on residential sidewalks by Zohran supporters who LIED about permits. A private citizen fixed what pols won’t.

As our brave first responders are recovering from injuries and Astorians are processing a harrowing event, only a vile human would use this tragedy to spew Islamophobic bullshit. @VickieforNYC proves once again she is unworthy of serving on the @NYCCouncil.

Dan Goldman is unleashing his massive personal fortune into this race. A blatant attempt to buy this election and subvert the will of NY-10 voters. He may have the money, but we have the people. Can’t thank @ewarren enough for coming to NYC to support our grassroots movement.

@ChrisSosa When a council that represents the entire city votes on something, and the majority votes for it, and the mayor unilaterally vetoes it, that's authoritarianism. Full Stop.

Mamdani’s veto demonstrates follow-through on a campaign principle: protecting democracy from the rise of authoritarianism. American law makes wide room for controversial speech, including protests, to fortify our liberty against the threat of tyranny. sosavstate.com/p/mamdanis-fir…

Whoever wins Tuesday's special election for City Council District 3 could be faced with a vote to override Mayor Mamdani's veto of 175-B (the educational building buffer zone bill). @LindseyBoylan and @laylaLawGisiko both say they'd vote against overriding the mayor's veto. But Carl Wilson's campaign tells me he would vote to override the veto.

I support our police 100%. They put their lives on the line for us. But 500+ speeding violations is concerning no matter who you are. We have to take street safety seriously across the board. Safety has to be consistent. nyc.streetsblog.org/2026/04/23/to-…

Ensuring students and congregants can enter and exit their schools and houses of worship without fear of harassment or intimidation should not be controversial. The safe access bills simply require the NYPD to clearly outline how they will ensure safe access when there are threats of obstruction or physical injury, while fully protecting First Amendment rights.

Speaker Julie Menin has made it clear in her own words that obstructing Mayor Mamdani’s affordability agenda is her top priority with the New York City Council, and my question is… for what? Do you think you’re going to be mayor, Julie? That is never going to happen.

@nyc_evsa @Shebbie4nyc @CMShaunAbreu OMG. I'm born and raised here and never felt so unsafe as a pedestrian. I've almost been plowed down by them, ignoring the " Red " lights or going the wrong way. It's insane and unacceptable! I pray she is okay🙏

@laylaLawGisiko Big disappointment, and how can you make that decision without hearing what your constituents want? Or will it be more of the same politics as usual?
