Our Reilly girl passed away suddenly last night. My mum told me she got comfortable on the bed, next to my mum's knees, and quietly slipped away.
I am so shattered. Losing two dogs in the space of 18 months (our boy Fergus died early last year) has been horrific.
Reilly was my girl. She was the funniest, sweetest dog. And I'm devastated I didn't make it home to say goodbye.
I said this when I told you all about Fergus last year, but I'll say it again - my mum is especially destroyed losing these two. She reads your comments, so feel free to send her some love.
I'm grateful to have had beautiful, wonderful dogs. And I'm so grateful that Reilly went peacefully, with my parents close by, knowing she was loved beyond words.
Pup photos always welcome on a sad post like this. You know I love seeing your fur babies.
I'm sorry to anyone else who has experienced loss recently. ❤

@WallStreetApes What’s interesting is when you pull this structure up on Google Maps, there’s a neighborhood of mansions behind it. There no industry or anything around. Since it’s a pumping station, why is there water shooting out a side pipe like that? Over flow maybe? But why the color?

This is on the Ohio River in Cincinnati near Route 8
You see the color of this water being dumped into the Ohio River? It’s pink….
It’s coming out of the Newport Pumping Station
The City sometimes injects colored dye into drains and sewer to watch where it emerges to map flows and or study river dispersion
This could be that, or this could be something else being dumps directly into the Ohio River….
The EPA should be checking this out to verify

If you ever get a Great Pyrenees know they don’t fetch. They don’t retrieve. If you throw a ball, they’ll look at you like “well that was stupid. Now you have to go get it.”
They’re bred to go on a hilltop with sheep and watch them alone for days. So they expect that you trust them to make their own decisions. They enjoy sitting and observing, and patrolling. Then more observing. Then more patrolling. They like to sleep in places where they can see everything.

Bessie update. She was intended to be an outside only dog, and we’ve had both outside only and inside/outside dogs before. We currently don’t have chickens for her to watch, so the lack of work outside is disorienting to her. This girl HATES to be alone and she’s such a baby, I decided to potty train her, and keep her close just so she could not be scared. She might be the smartest dog we’ve ever had. Such a fast learner!! We got her on Saturday, and since then she’s had 2 small accidents inside, and now she barks to go outside to the bathroom. Great Pyrenees can learn commands, but they prioritize reading the room over obeying commands. Some call that stubborn. It’s been one of the reasons I love this breed, and this is the 3rd GP we’ve had—they just know what to do without me having to tell them. They study situations and patterns and act accordingly. She’s chewing a lot, but that’s just a puppy and she’s starting to even self-redirect to her stuffy when we say “no” to something else. She’ll probably need a lot of space and be more outside when she’s bigger, as her breed tends to need. But for now, she stays close. Even on the leash outside, she never leaves my side or strains away from me. Also, she hates any temperature over 65°F, and sits but the vent on hardwood if possible if it’s even a couple degrees hotter.

Absolutely wild day filming Kaitlin Bennett at the Lakeland Farmers Market.
It ended with a woman brandishing a knife and threatening one of Kaitlin’s supporters. She swung it just a few feet from his neck while screaming, “I’m gonna slice you!!!”
Unfortunately, neither the man nor I even noticed she had a knife until we reviewed the video afterward.
Kaitlin’s security escorted her away from the scene before things escalated, but I stayed behind to document what happened.
A police report has been filed, and I’ll keep everyone updated on the outcome.
Ironically, just before the incident, the woman claimed during an interview that Republicans are the violent ones.
