@NittyScottMC In other words, they are training the AI to take their jobs too
English

@AmericaPapaBear Actually Hollywood is already putting Hollywood out of business.
English

@metaplexmovies From what I remember, it really took things to a level that hadn’t been seen on TV until then.
English

I have now started THE SHIELD, the most deliriously early 2000s thing I have ever seen (that was incredible)
Brendan Hodges@metaplexmovies
I’m running out of great shows. How good is THE SHIELD?
English

@RetroCoast And if you accidently put the hot side in the cold side you were screwed.
English

Did the McDLT keep the "hot side hot and the cold side cold"
Or the "cold side cold and the hot side hot?" #1980s

English

@kristabellerina And many of those that had a VCR refused to program it
English

@LisaBritton We’ve spent 30 years convincing men they were stupid, useless, and terrible with kids, and today if we want something done right then you have to get a woman to do it. Men heard the message. You don’t fix that overnight.
English

@HustleBitch_ Yeah, because there’s nothing that could ever go wrong with this I’m sure. I mean it’s not like there was ever a fool proof analog option

🚨 TOYOTA JUST MADE A CAR KEY SO CONFUSING… DEALERSHIPS HAVE TO TRAIN PEOPLE HOW TO UNLOCK THEIR DOOR
A full-grown adult has to explain how to unlock a car door using the new Toyota card key.
The key card literally has instructions printed on it.
Angle the card.
Find the “right spot.”
Try again.
Like you’re diffusing a bomb.
Even he can’t get it on the first try:
“Not working… not working right.”
Now people will be standing outside their own car… waving a card around hoping it works.
How did Toyota just make a car key WORSE?
English

@KDancer51 @HustleBitch_ If only there was an analog equivelent to a key card.
English

@HustleBitch_ This is simply a backup option if the key fob battery dies or you lose it. This card can be kept in your wallet and allows you enter and start your car as a last resort. My RAM truck also has this.
English

@shooterjennings That’s a fair point. It’s never going to revolutionize song writing, but as a way to experiment with hints of other music styles within my own does at least make me consider new directions.
English

@troyberlin I’m just yet to see a case where it really did anything impressive. To me this starts muddying the water of human inspiration.
English

I was shocked this last week to start to realize that AI’s use in music is much more pervasive than I thought. I’ve seen a lot of people making acoustic demos of songs they wrote and then feeding them into Suno or other models to make full band demos.
I guess I’m more isolated from it on the daily in the studio as it’s never used when we record… so this revelation came as a shock of sorts.
I don’t have a problem with AI being used as a tool at all, I’m using it to help me convert a game I programmed in another language to one that will work on phones. It has great use…
But to see how commonplace it is to lean on it through multiple layers of the artistic creative and conjuration process made me concerned.
Time to double down if you’re doing it the old way, I guess!
Signed, the old man
English

@jondelarroz I’ll let you decide, because I’m not planning on watching either one.
English

@JosephKahn Most modern film and television just looks terrible, not to mention we’re all streaming it.
English

@bernardtjoy That’s tough, though I will say either Star Wars OT, Indiana Jones, or Back to the Future.
English

@JoshPhillipsPhD We might not be able to change the world, but we can change the circles we move in.
English

@RealCarlVernon Note to marketing…, remove the word smart from future devices. The average person will think they are winning the smart device battle.
English

@Tbvincent_ @klhicks912 I get it, but the argument that AI is stealing our work doesn’t really address how AI actually functions. AI can be trained on open source or purchased work just as easily. Is the problem the training method, or the technology?
English

@troyberlin @klhicks912 Ai tools are featured on a lot of apps, but you aren't implemented until you choose to.
Spelling and grammar checker is not the issue here. Generative ai which steals your data is.
English

@TheLoneDalek20 I agree, but rejecting it at this point literally means going off grid. It has its hooks in everything, including the development at a coding level. It’s either back to the 80’s or all in I’m afraid.
English

@troyberlin Which is exactly why we need to reject it and make a stand against the companies and billionaires trying to force it on us. Cause if we don't things will only continue to get worse
English

@JuliaEMcCoy Until that price tag skyrockets 200% and free tiers are removed.
