Win through beauty to have the best life I came to Canada with just a small backpack (prob why I get stopped so much) cause I’m a minimalist packer. Got a ton of swag from the different Shopify events. Had to throw most of it sadly but not this little book. I just couldn’t. The design was so beautiful that I just had to keep it. Even took it to my favorite little spot by the water close to the Automotive building where I like to spend my last hours before heading to the airport (pic is from there I highly recommend it). Got home and first my wife tried to steal it, then my daughter (I gave it to her I’m not a monster 😂). World needs more of these beautiful things. I don’t know who made this but thank you! Your work to me is the definition of what #BrightworkVol01 is all about. 💙

It's been very cool to have other Shopify partners reaching out to @dear_trudence and I about #BrightworkVol01, even people who didn't attend, and ask to get a shot at sponsoring next year. It's going to be even better next year and I expect nothing less of our sponsors. The sponsors this year set the bar HIGH with how great they were to work with. They value community just as highly as we do and it showed. We've got surveys rolling out soon now that Trudy and I have both had the chance to breathe a bit. We'll be asking attendees AND sponsors how it went and what we could do better. Just because we've received a lot of great feedback doesn't mean we're not here for the tough stuff. We fought some things, like missing name badges or the acoustics in the room making it hard for people to hear speakers if any conversations were going on in the back. We can and will do better next year and we know those ideas won't just come from us. Your feedback will make a difference and we will be welcoming it!

I recently joked that I wouldn't take anymore clients that aren't on Google Workspace. Recently I proposed on a client that uses Microsoft. In one of the meetings with that prospect they actually were critical of me using google workspace and thought it was a sign of not being a serious company. Are there still that many legacy businesses that think this?

This community is still active in spite of announcements by X. If your post or thread ends with "follow us..." it will be removed. Offer value. Remember this space is for Shopify Partners and not merchants. You won't find clients in here so don't shill. Have fun 😄

New goal: grow the @ShopifyDevs community to a point where it can support a @tbpn style daily show exclusively for Shopify app builders. I know @ecommcowboy exists and I love it, but I want there to be something aimed exclusively at building and growing on the App Store

@DsMatie My agency site is on Shopify and always makes me sad when people reach out asking if products were still available or trying to sell services 🤦‍♂️ It is rough out there for merchants having to deal with all this spam. And then harder for legitimate devs to reach them. 🫤

Open a Shopify Store. You'll see how many emails they receive every day to sell them services 🤯 And it's always the same strategy.
