Kellie-Jay Keen at Tommy Robinson Unite the Kingdom, about Muslims: "It's not too late to get Islam out of our classrooms" and it's "absolutely vital to remove Islam from every single place of authority" in order to "save Britain." The UK and England flag cult cheered and clapped. If a brown Muslim woman stood on stage and said that about Jews... and Muslims clapped and cheered, there would be national outrage. We are now the most hated group in Britain.

@Juezcentral They were robbed of the title. Should never have been a pen for Celtic’s in the Motherwell game in the last minute. Also heard some dodgy decisions going Celtic way in this game too. This is football corruption

In 2014, while Hamas terrorists fired thousands of rockets at Jewish civilians, including kindergartens, Shabana Mahmood, the current UK Home Secretary, stood on stage and openly supported them. She called the rocket-firing Gazans “her brothers and sisters.” She didn’t condemn the Islamic terrorism or call for peace. Instead, she outlined a strategic plan: use Muslims who had immigrated to the West (like her own parents) as an economic weapon against Israel by organizing boycotts of Jewish-made products to financially weaken the Jewish state. She bragged publicly about being part of a riot squad that shut down London stores for five hours until they removed Jewish-made products from Israel. This was never about justice. It was about partnering with genocidal terrorists to help Hamas slaughter more Jews. Shabana Mahmood actively worked to advance Hamas’s genocidal agenda so Muslim terrorists could annihilate Israel and its Jewish population. Today, this same woman is the UK Home Secretary, responsible for the safety of British Jews. Let that sink in. The Muslim woman who sided with Hamas against Israel and plotted to weaken it economically is now in charge of protecting Jewish communities in Britain. This is not just absurd. This is dangerous.

Fascinating Saint & Greavsie interview from this week in 1991, with FA Chief Executive Graham Kelly, discussing the proposal for a new Premier League in English football. Ironic how Ian and Jimmy are all for the idea here, but just 12 months later they won’t even be part of it.

Restore Britain is now polling 9% nationally - it continues to grow and grow. We will soon overtake the Lib Dems. That is historic growth. And I want to be really clear about what our objective is. Win the next general election, and restore Britain. We will stand hundreds of candidates from outside the rotten political establishment. They will not be failed Conservative ministers. They will not be desperate careerists who are seeking to harness the rightful anger of the British people to advance their own interests. They will not be politicians. They will be men and women who understand how the real world works - in business, medicine, industry, science, education, the military. Proper Britain. I have no interest in appealing to the Westminster elite - Tory, Reform, Labour. It all just stinks. Same people, same ideas, same failures. I don’t want to join the establishment. I want to smash it up. Because Britain doesn’t reforming, it needs restoring. Back to a time when our political system worked for the only group of people who matter. The British people. We are at the start of a very long road, but we have taken the first few very important steps. People laughed when I founded Restore Britain - they said we’d never even reach 1% in the polls. Well, we’re at 9% and we are not stopping there. Reform are leading that poll on 21%. On current trajectory? We will soon overtake the Tories and Labour, and then Reform. That’s the plan. And when we do it, that’s when the real change starts. We are aiming to implement the most radical changes to the British state anyone has seen in living memory. And I mean radical. Join the team, join Restore Britain. Help us make history. Let’s get our country back.

Ricky Gervais on 60 Minutes Makes a Crystal-Clear Case for Free Speech He put it perfectly: the great thing about freedom of speech is that I can say what I want, and you can say you're offended, and I get to decide whether I care or not. Because let's be honest, there's nothing you can say that someone, somewhere won't find offensive. That's why blasphemy laws are so absurd, they're basically trying to protect an all-powerful deity from having its feelings hurt. At the end of the day, we should be free to criticise any idea. Just because you're offended doesn't automatically mean you're right. Spot on, Ricky. Free speech isn't about never upsetting anyone, it's about the right to speak anyway.

The rapidly changing demographics of our country mean that the Muslim population of our country is set to grow and grow and grow - a process that will only get faster. This is the honest truth no other politician will dare to mention. Demands for political Islam will spread alongside that. We’re already seeing that process accelerate. The British people will be further expected to have our way of life changed, permanently, to tolerate those who would not show us the same respect. I don’t want that. Restore Britain does not want that. We have been quite clear that a Restore Britain Government would be far more muscular in our approach to Islam. This is a Christian country. Under a Restore Britain Government, it would stay that way. Halal slaughter would be banned, along with cousin marriage and the wearing of the burqa/niqab. Sharia courts outlawed, with any foreign nationals attempting to promote Islamism removed from our country. Mass dominating Islamic prayer in public spaces will not be tolerated. Islamic call to prayer blaring out across British towns will be banned. Unfettered immigration from Islamic countries will come to an end. Foreign nationals who cannot speak English, refuse to work, claim benefits, live in social housing, or hate Britain will also be deported. Under a Restore Britain Government, the British state would not bend over backwards to accommodate practices that would have been unwelcome in medieval England. The islamification of Britain will end. For making these demands, I have received numerous death threats. I want to be really clear - we will not be intimidated. Starmer panders to the Muslim vote, hoping the crocodile will eat him last. Farage has pathetically said if we ‘alienate’ Islam we ‘will lose’. The Tories had their chance, they accelerated the process. It’s all too weak, it’s all too late. And the hour is late. Because if we continue on our current trajectory, the size of the Muslim population will reach a point where they will no longer be asking. Just look at Lebanon. I will be hounded for stating these facts. And they are all facts. My response? Go to Tower Hamlets. Bradford. Rochdale. Leicester. Blackburn. Birmingham. Walk around. You could be living in an Islamic country. It’s not even multiculturalism. It’s one culture. Islam. And British people in those areas are expected to sit back and accept it, or leave. Colonisation is the right word. That is not an acceptable state of affairs. What has happened in those towns will happen elsewhere. It is simply a matter of time. We can all already see it developing. It is demographic reality. I’m 68. It will not impact me. I will be long gone. But my one objective with Restore Britain is to leave the country in a better state than the one my generation was gifted. I want my grandchildren, and your grandchildren, to grow up in a cohesive, prosperous and confident Christian country which treats women with respect. That will require decent British men and women to stand up for our way of life in a far more assertive manner than has so far happened. I am absolutely determined to offer the British people a democratic route out. There is finally a serious political party with the courage to do what needs to be done. Restore Britain. Join us.

Ajax the Greater was the second finest warrior the Greeks had brought to Troy. Only Achilles outranked him, and everyone on both sides of the war knew it. He was enormous in stature, almost impossible to wound, and throughout the Iliad he does something almost no other Greek hero manages: he receives no help from any god. He stands alone. When Achilles was killed by Paris’s arrow, it was Ajax and Odysseus together who fought off the Trojans long enough to carry his body back from the battlefield. That act alone should have settled the question of who deserved the dead man’s armor. It did not. The armor had been forged by Hephaestus himself and was effectively divine. Thetis, Achilles’s mother, declared it would go to the bravest remaining Greek. Ajax believed the answer was obvious. So did Odysseus. What followed was a contest of words, not weapons, which Ajax should have recognized immediately as a fight he was not equipped to win. Odysseus was the finest speaker in the Greek camp. Ajax was a man who communicated through force of presence and action on the battlefield. The judges, in various accounts either Agamemnon or a panel of Trojan prisoners, awarded the armor to Odysseus. Ajax began planning murder that same night. His targets were Agamemnon, Menelaus, and Odysseus. He moved through the dark toward their tents with a sword in hand. Athena, who had her own reasons to despise Ajax and who knew what he intended, intervened before he reached them. She cast a fog over his vision and his mind simultaneously. Ajax stormed into a field of captured Trojan livestock, sheep and cattle penned for the army’s supply, and slaughtered his way through them believing they were his enemies. He dragged several back to his tent, among them a ram he was convinced was Odysseus, and tortured it. When the madness lifted, he was sitting in a tent full of dead animals, covered in blood that was not his enemies’. The entire camp had heard the noise. Everyone knew what had happened. He walked out to a remote grove alone, planted in the earth the sword Hector had given him as a gift years earlier after their famous duel, and fell on it. What happens after Ajax dies is, in some ways, the more unsettling part of the story. Menelaus and Agamemnon immediately declared that Ajax would receive no burial. He had plotted to kill them. They would leave his body to rot above ground, which in Greek belief meant his soul could not pass properly into the afterlife. Ajax’s half-brother Teucer arrived to find the body and demanded a funeral. The standoff was only resolved by Odysseus, who argued before the assembled Greek commanders that Ajax had been the greatest warrior among them except for Achilles, and that no personal rivalry justified denying a hero his burial. The man who had defeated Ajax in a rhetorical contest was the only one willing to defend his honor in death. #archaeohistories
