Cameron and I met in 2014 when I was a sw and heavily addicted to heroin. We started a real relationship in 2015 but a month or so into it, I found out he was married. He lied and said he was divorced and that she lived in CA. Half truths. His wife called me and told me they were still married, & she said 3 things that would haunt me for many years. “This isn’t the first time, this won’t be the last, & you’re not the only one”. Cam called me from a pay phone claiming Kathy was crazy and unstable and abusive, and that he was going to “fix this, I promise”. I believed him bc 2 weeks later he was divorced. Soon after my lease was up on my tiny apt off Monroe ave. Cam moved me into an apt in his name off East ave. This was VERY early on, and I never for a second felt worried he would strip that from me. He took me shopping almost every week. Showered me with affection and admiration. Took me shopping for furniture and decorative things for my new apt. Little did I know, this is the classic #lovebombing stage. I felt safe w him. Loved, and extremely special. Bc why would this very wealthy man want me, a drug addict w severe childhood trauma, over his ex. Over anyone else. I felt he was the “reward” for all my pain and suffering. I mean let’s just ask Cameron’s recent baby mama who has 2 kids by him. Does she have more resources? No she doesn’t bc he only gives her enough to get by. And he constantly pulls it out from under her if she isn’t being agreeable and letting him walk all over her. She was a child! 19 when he got w her. And yes, she is fn traumatized. As was I. As was his ex wife. As was the few he lied to while cheating on me. As is the one he just got caught cheating on w his now 21 yr old. But he’s also cheating on her. It never ends!!! 3 days after Hannah had their 2nd child #CameronSands uses #coercivecontrol to threaten her that he is evicting her and throwing her and their kids onto the streets if she doesn’t stop telling me the truth ab him setting me up and planting fentanyl in my car. HE JUST CUT HER OFF AGAIN and is refusing to see her kids. Knowing she has to provide for and feed them. Cameron is the most #FinanciallyAbusive mf I’ve ever seen.
