been thinking a lot about "alt seasons" of prior cycles and why things feel so different now than before there's a lot you can learn from the 2025 "cycle" that will probably translate into future cycles, including where we are now the biggest lesson to me is simply that the idea of alt season is mostly dead I don't mean there won't be huge euphoric periods in the market anymore, there definitely could be. but the market for alts is just too big to actually justify an alt season where most outperform when 99% of them are just bloat that bleeds against the leaders (BTC, ETH, SOL, doesn't matter) it seems more likely that there will be one coin that leads a narrative and drags liquidity into a "casino" on the back of it. ie: $SOL leads -> memecoin casino $HYPE leads -> revenue/perp dex casino $BNB leads -> chinese coins/binance casino $ZEC leads -> privacy coin casino/meta Obviously everyone knows about crypto's various "metas", it's not news, but the part that you probably aren't paying attention to is what happens to all of these coins after they have their time in the sun? BNB? down bad against BTC. ZEC? down bad against BTC. SOL? down bad against BTC. When the meta is over, it's over, and the hot ball of money wants to move somewhere else, leaving the old meta to bleed out while a new meta siphons out its life energy eventually maybe we'll get a proper "alt season" where there is money to be made at all times 24/7/365, but for now it feels like its more of a game of determing when and where to hypergamble, and when the time to just sit on your hands and do nothing is tldr: don't be the guy gambling his money away on memecoins in the big 26, there will always be bigger fish for you to fry

I don’t think we will ever see a solana memecoin reach a billion dollar marketcap ever again The good times are totally behind us The vamps and the sporadic rugs have totally destroyed the enthusiasm of traders & the will to hold for a longer period of time It’s over, we lost.
