On March 28, 2026, Sergeant Deaton, his family and the entire Cotati Police Department said goodbye to K9 Remo. For 8 years, Sergeant Deaton and K9 Remo worked together 24/7 whether it be at work, training or at home, they gave each other purpose. K9 Remo was also well known for stealing food off plates if you happened to step away. K9 Remo will be missed by all but there is solace knowing he lived a purposeful life. Rest in peace Remo
