I’m excited to announce that I’ve decided to return to Supercell (the Finnish game company known for Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, Brawl Stars, etc.), this time as Head of Tokyo AI Innovation Lab! Supercell already has such AI Innovation Labs in San Francisco and Helsinki, so Tokyo will be the 3rd one. I'll be supporting early-stage indie game devs aiming to use AI to develop new kinds of experiences in gaming and interactive entertainment, in Japan/APAC. Fundamentally, I believe there will be many new kinds of fun experiences unlocked by AI, but we don’t know which ones will be big hits yet. I hope to accelerate the discovery of such experiences. I’m also grateful for the great experiences I had in my last role leading research for Mewtant / PixAI. It was a special chance to dive deep into creative aspects of generative models at a fast-growing startup with people passionate about machine learning and anime culture. For my new job, I don’t have any photo yet, so I’ll share this photo of my first day joining Supercell the first time (10 years ago).

Joining Takeoff Tokyo 2025 as a volunteer lead changed my student life. I was 17 yo, devoting myself to the javelin throw. Takeoff tokyo volunteers were very"Interesting".Everyone was going there own way and powerful. I clearly remember thinking "I wanna belike these guys"
