@tspellman1@GoldenMavs1@huskersjames There’s a difference between celebrating a win and saying it’s the biggest game ever for the program. Congrats though.
@unclebillyo@GoldenMavs1@huskersjames I do know plenty of Creighton fans that celebrated opening round wins. Any win in the Dance is a win to celebrate.
Lou Brock said this one time in spring training. Lefties will always lift up their big toe on a pick and stays grounded when he goes home. Here is an example.
@tspellman1 The line itself is considered the backcourt. So if he was touching the line, he would have backcourt status and this would be a legal play. Any part of the body touching or over the line = backcourt player
Small thread on the Nebraska BC Violation - but TLDR: This is a violation and a correct call, but one most fans (and announcers) will get wrong.
The key to getting BC correct is remembering it is the status of the BALL which matters, not inherently the player. (1/4)
Re: over and back
Like many of you, thought that Nebraska got screwed on another over and back call.
Actually, Sam establishing himself in the front court, catching the ball in the air and landing in the back court is an over and back.
@Cheesehead39@itsAntWright@walkeri141 This was one of the worst though. This isn’t a judgement call like a screen etc. this is basic knowledge for any official.
Nebraska baseball's opening-day lineup vs. UConn:
C Jeter Worthley
2B Jett Buck
1B Case Sanderson
3B Joshua Overbeek
SS Dylan Carey
RF Max Buettenback
DH Cole Kitchens
CF Devin Nunez
LF Will Jesske
P Ty Horn
Two things can be true at the same time:
1) I, a middle aged Midwestern white guy, am not the target audience for this halftime show.
2) It's fun to see slices of American culture that I'm not familiar with.
@tspellman1@FeitCanWrite I’m hearing the “no English spoken” halftime was so successful that the NFL is already negotiating with Kamala Harris for next year,
@FeitCanWrite I absolutely disagree and I’m sure the NFL will also. The game is horrible and folks tell me the halftime was terrible. If you want to experience other culture watch the Olympics.
