If Raghav Chadha hadn’t joined the BJP and instead continued doing unofficial, BJP backed propaganda, then maybe he and his team could have caused around 1% damage to AAP in the elections. But by officially joining the BJP so quickly, he has actually given a big relief to AAP. It’s a win-win situation for AAP in Punjab before election , and in reality, it’s a setback for Chadha and his team. Now, no one has sympathy for Chadha except BJP supporters. वास्तविकता तो यह है कि सात दलबदलुओं में से किसी एक का भी पंजाब में कोई जनाधार नहीं। इनके दल छोड़ने से पंजाब में आम आदमी पार्टी का बड़ा नुक़सान नहीं होने वाला। यह ज़रूर है कि इनके दलबदल करने से आम आदमीं पार्टी के संगठन, नेतृत्व और ढाँचे के कमजोर होने का इशारा मिलता है। यह भी कि विचारधारा को ताक पर रख केवल आर्थिक उद्देश्य से राज्य सभा देने पर क्या होता है। बीजेपी के लिए ज़रूर यह एक बड़ा कदम है जो पंजाब और राज्य सभा दोनों में अपनी ताक़त बढ़ाने में लगी है।

जिस आप सांसद के यहाँ महज 10 दिन पहले ED रेड होती है वह बीजेपी में आज शामिल होते हैं! शामिल होते हैं इससे बड़ी बात पार्टी का शीर्ष नेतृत्व उनका खुल का स्वागत करता है! इससे कुछ बातें साफ होती है 1- ED का राजनितिक टूल के रूप में इस्तेमाल होता है विपक्षी नेताओं पर दबाव बनाने के लिए जिससे मजबूर होकर वे बीजेपी में शामिल हो जाते हैं 2-अगर यह बात सही नहीं है बीजेपी के हिसाब से तो इसका मतलब पार्टी ऐसे ED रेड को बहुत हलके में लेती है और एजेंसी के आरोप पर भरोसा नहीं करती है! जब तक कोर्ट से उन आरोपों पर सजा न मिल जाए 3-अगर यह सही है तो आज से किसी नेता पर बीजेपी को सिर्फ ED रेड के आधार आरोप नहीं लगाना चाहिए ! क्योंकि पार्टी खुद ऐसे नेताओं का पुरे सम्मान के साथ स्वागत करती है इसमें तीनो बाते गलत नहीं हो सकती है! कोई एक बात को तो स्वीकार तो करना होगा ना!

So a ED raid 10 days ago.. supposedly on AAP MP... then he s got to face money laundering charges... in face of impending charges, he s joining ruling party at Centre.. and it is fine with them. Is this the way things will work in our country? Absolutely no conscience at all?

Ashok Mittal defected from AAP to BJP a week after being raided by ED. Lovely coincidence.

राघव चड्ढा ने मुझे तो बिल्कुल नहीं चौंकाया . ये हो होना ही था . बीजेपी से उनकी सेटिंग पहले से ही थी , एलान आज किया है . बस इतना ही फर्क है . इतने सालों तक केजरीवाल के पीछे - पीछे चलकर मज़े लिए . पंजाब में जलवे बिखरे. 'जलवे समेटे ' भी . राज्यसभा में बैठे . और अब उस बीजेपी की शान में कसीदे पढ़ेंगे , जिसे कोसते हुए नेता बने थे .

Constitutional bench judgment in Maharashtra case has stated clearly that the original political party has to merge with another party, not just the Parliamentary party of the party.

How many times has Supreme Court cautioned against using ED and central agencies for political ends? Yet we keep seeing the same pattern…An ED raid on Ashok Mittal and others—days later, they join the BJP. And now, an AAP split…we still call India, mother of democracies!!

Plus, their intent is different. Shinde claimed he was the real SS to bypass the defection law. Chadha+ submitted a letter to merge into the BJP. By doing so, they have legally forfeited their AAP identity entirely. You can't join the BJP and simultaneously claim to be AAP! (4/n)

It's not surprising that Raghav Chadha and Swati Maliwal officially joined BJP. In any case, they had already been working for BJP unofficially. It's not surprising that Ashok Mittal joined BJP 10 days after being raided by ED. That's BJP's playbook stuff. The surprising thing is that BJP wasn't able to break Manish Sisodia, Satyendra Jain and Sanjay Singh, despite trying everything they could.

Update – ED छापे के 10वें दिन अशोक मित्तल ने AAP छोड़कर BJP ज्वॉइन की। BJP अध्यक्ष नितिन नबीन ने उनका स्वागत किया। अशोक मित्तल पंजाब की लवली यूनिवर्सिटी के चांसलर हैं। लवली ऑटोज, लवली स्वीट्स जैसे संस्थान भी हैं। ED ने इन सभी जगह छापे मारे थे। मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग का आरोप था। लवली ग्रुप का सालाना टर्नओवर 850 करोड़ रुपए का है।
