@DonShelby__ El club lleva mucho tiempo (años) descontento con Valverde y su entorno. No es casualidad que todos los medios grandes le hayan puesto como responsable. El club le ha bajado el dedo.

Tchouaméni did us a great service and gets punished for. Feel for him, just hope this isn’t last time he does this.

Some of Valverde's tackles on Tchouameni ahead of today's big fight could've gotten the French midfielder severely injured and out of the World Cup, per sources.

Alonso hive we won. Nobody serious made any inference on Xabi’s coaching ability or personality with this bunch of divas. Xabi was the consummate gentleman who was loved by the dressing rooms of 3 massive clubs so he was pretty obviously never going to be the one at fault.

@LucasNavarreteM Sounds like Fede just kept poking the bear instead of being a true leader/captain.

Full disclaimer: Fede did not shake hands, he accused Tchouameni of leaking Wednesday's confrontation to the media and he did a few dirty tackles on Tchouameni in training today. BUT Tchouameni threw the first punch. That's why I said Tchouameni escalated things.
Lucas Navarrete@LucasNavarreteM

My personal take on today's fight based on what I've heard so far. -Tchouameni is the one who escalated things today BUT -Valverde, as team captain, should have taken the higher road and accept Tchouameni's handshake.

@RealDealPodz I fear the board decides tchouameni is more expendable than fede. A world class DM is hard to find in modern football. I've sold my Fede stock with the poor performances , leadership and Xabi drama.

Michael Edwards dropped 137m on Wirtz you say? We may have a deal or 3 to sell him this summer😂 Also if United needs more winning DNA™️ to top off Casemiro we got them covered. Boehly wants to offer any of these dudes 7 year deals? Make sure he’s also invited to the auction!

Xabi Alonso was supposed to make Real Madrid catch up with teams like Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, etc. Not only that, but he supposed to reinstate calm and organization. Alonso's work was hard to fulfill with no preseason, no signings, and no support from the higher-ups led by Florentino Perez. And the irony is that Real Madrid is looking for a manager to do the work Xabi Alonso was brought in to do at the first place.
ACHRAF@LamdarhriAchraf

One thing I would like to address that I usually don't speak or discuss here. Real Madrid has only one chance to catch teams like Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Barcelona in terms of how modern football is managed, implemented, and coached. That opportunity is XABI ALONSO.

@RealDealPodz Really developed into a great 3 and d wing for a playoff team. Couldnt really shoot it from 3 in his early days. Lakers essentially got him for free (Kendrick nunn + 3 2nds).

@RealDealPodz @jamalisco2443 @magngje Perez is a successful business man , a true leader recognizes when his time is up/time for new direction. His ego is too big to admit it. Clearlake/Chelsea could be a possible fit, they love buying mediocre players for inflated transfer fees. Sell that upgrade over Garnacho lol

@RealDealPodz Perez simply could of backed Xabi Alonso, but since JAS led the search. I see why the relationship soured so fast. Instead taking us back to dinosaur age tactically, how about you and the board get rid of the necessary cancers in the locker room.

We are a parody of a club now. Realchester United. Jose Mourinho is completely washed and brings nothing to the table tactically. There is no upside when he’s just going to burn everything down and waste a prime year of so many players. This is fucked to read. Florentino out.
David Ornstein@David_Ornstein

🚨 Jose Mourinho preferred candidate of Florentino Perez to become next Real Madrid head coach. Support not universal inside #RMFC but president driving process so 63yo strong contender. ~€3m break clause in Benfica deal. W/ @MarioCortegana @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/72367…

@RealDealPodz @UnderstatXG @fbref I know 23-24 is an outlier/unrepeatable, but we need the best version of jude back. Lost year due to injuries and can't repeat 24-25 role. 3rd yr of wasting jude would be a damn shame.

Now highlighting Real Madrid's performance in the boxes relative to expected goals specifically. That 23/24 season was crazy. If we raise our floor of performance and get some of that box dominance that we tend to get from our stars, we're gonna be extremely dangerous.

Under Xabi Alonso we averaged 2.37 points per game, significantly higher than under Arbeloa. While Vinicius and Fede improved individually, we got worse as a collective tactically. We let an insecure declining winger dictate our tactics and it backfired.
Don Amancio@DonShelby__

@LamdarhriAchraf @Loconteee Florentino and the board admitting they made a mistake, backing xabi and giving him the control previously lacked. I feel we disrespected Xabi leading up to his sacking. Doubtful unless he gets control like Jose did.

“Xabi Alonso revisionism” I mean when your name will be attached forever as the coach with best ever start at Real Madrid— people are allowed to look back and wonder what if allowed to build upon it.

I agree with this point on Vinicius Jr athleticism decline. In terms of the physical side, I think his ballistic control declined, not the same player he was when it comes to sprints, reflexes, and mobility. Cognitively, he isn't the best player when it comes to spatial awareness, anticipation, or recognizing plays. The last point is probably due to the fact that he never worked under a coach who develops the way players see the game at an early age, and has experienced huge success under a less demanding coach.
Loconté@Loconteee

Do you know what’s the reality? Viní Jr. athleticism has massively declined— as he was ran to ground by Ancelotti. That’s why he doesn’t wanna play LW, press, or constantly move— and that’s why he threw tantrums getting Alonso out knowing Rodrygo can take his spot at any point.

Pep and Klopp finished 3rd and 4th in their first full seasons in charge. You don’t get immediate greatness when you embark on a journey to dramatically change your team’s style from Ancelotti’s relational build-up with low to mid block to Alonso’s high pressing, positional ordered football. The squad has been moulded for a different style of football. A style which looks outdated in the modern game. The club hierarchy should be strong leaders and back the manager’s coaching over player demands to help the squad grow and gradually change the profiles over the next few windows. Whilst using progress in playing style as the marker for success. Alonso showed some signs of changing the playing style in most games, whilst still going at 90 point pace.
a$f@anbizcocho

@rajsinghchohan @abdule_10 hoped Xabi had understood much earlier that this squad wasn't built for a high-pressing, possession based style against the big teams atleast . Still, the board deserves the majority of the fault regardless of what the real reasons turned out to be.

The balance is the key. When a coach brings in complementary profiles with quality, the team has a big chance to deliver. Gonzalo Garcia pins and pushes the backline rearward and acts as a target. Vinicius Jr carries, dribbles, and runs from the left. Valverde carries and runs from the right, Arda Guler BTLs does the playmaking BTLs. Trent operates as a deep playmaker, offering long & medium passing range quality (the same for Huijsen). Carreras attacks the space in behind and breaks down the lines via his out-in carries/passes. Camavinga develops the play from deep and connects in congested spaces. Tchouaméni as a defensive pivot. And most importantly, the pitch contains players with different instincts. At the end, the pitch cannot contain Mbappé and Vinicius Junior. Gonzalo Garcia provides balance. GOOD NIGHT.
