In 235 years, up until 2009, we only had white men as President and Vice President. And, for most of that time, women couldn’t vote. Talk about a preferential hiring program?! Let’s get real. White men have been preferentially hired in every sector of our society for centuries.

The California State Legislature recognizes the 1986 #SakaNakodar We are extremely grateful to ASM @AsmJasmeetBains, @Ash_Kalra, @Alex_Lee, and @LizOrtegaCA for getting House Resolution 93 passed unanimously, declaring Feb 4th as Saka Nakodar Day in California 🇺🇸 every year. This resolution honors Nakodar massacre martyrs Ravinder Singh, Baldhir Singh, Jhilman Singh, and Harminder Singh, extrajudicially murdered by Punjab Police on 4th February 1986. The State of Punjab has failed to follow the rule of law by not discussing or acting on the state-ordered judicial inquiry since 31 October 1986. The decades of denial and lack of justice is a profound injustice. Your commitment to acknowledging these atrocities and standing against hate is deeply inspiring.
