Yesterday, after commuting back to my room from the office in Hyderabad, I had a total panic moment. I walked through my front door, still listening to music on my Pixel Buds Pro 2, only to realize I had left the charging case back in the auto! 😱 I thought it was gone forever. An empty case doesn't have a GPS chip or an internet connection, right? Just for the heck of it, I opened Google's "Find My Device" app. And honestly? My mind was blown. 🤯 I could actually see my tiny case moving live across the map of Hyderabad. It confirmed that the case is still in the auto and I was able to contact the auto driver via uber support. After that, I got it back within 5 hours 🙌. Then I wasn't aware of this technology, so I dialed Gemini to understand how this work. So... how did a simple, offline plastic box send me its live location while cruising through traffic? It’s all thanks to the magic of the crowd. 🪄📱 Here’s the simple version of how it works: 1️⃣ The Silent Signal: The lost case uses a tiny bit of battery to constantly send out an invisible Bluetooth signal (Bluetooth low-energy), kind of like a silent cry for help. 📡 2️⃣ The Unknowing Helpers: Our city is full of Android phones. Every time someone with an active Android phone walked by or drove past that auto, their phone quietly "heard" my case's signal. 🚶‍♂️🚗 3️⃣ The Secret Delivery: That stranger's phone quickly checked its own GPS location, locked that info in a super secure digital box along with my case's ID, and sent it to Google's servers. 🔒☁️ 4️⃣ The Reveal: The best part? The strangers had no idea they helped me, and even Google couldn't see what was inside those secure boxes. Only my specific phone had the special key to unlock the data and show me the map! 🔑📍 It’s just crazy to think about. Millions of devices quietly working together in the background to help people find lost things, all while keeping everyone's privacy totally safe. That's when I realised how I didn't knew something like this exists. Then I realised this is how smart tags work! Technology is amazing! Using it for such crowdsourcing is just ❤️. #bluetoothlowenergy #ble #techforgood #google #findmyhub

Was working on integrating an optional transcription setting for the app! 🎙️✨ That part is quite done , but I’m unsure about the UI. I want to make sure the transcription text feels natural without cluttering the recording screen. Any thoughts on the layout or styling? 👇

Sometimes building something doesn't mean solving another problem people face or I face , or learning some design patterns Sometimes it is all about let's try it, I am sure it is of no use but it's going to waste days. Naah let's build it and let's see what happens after that.

@_shub39 Nav3 is going to be legendary and yes kind of unfinished and it's not completely viable to migrate the current nav2 nav-graphs. But I am sure by version 1.2.x-1.4.x (after minor tweaks) It will be single first choice solution for nav-graphs

I still don’t understand the hate AI is getting. 1.People with jobs hate it because, eventually, they’re afraid they’ll be replaced. 2.Founders and solo founders love it because their work becomes much easier and faster. 3.Normal people outside the Twitter bubble millions, billions of them will just use AI like any other tool. why is there so much hate? same hypocrites hating on AI today are ultimately going to use it themselves.

Built a fun little online photobooth, ShutterFun, where you can just open the site and start clicking - no sign-ups, no uploads 📸✨ - you can capture photos, retake them if needed, set a timer, and try out different filters. - once you’ve got your shots, pick a photo strip template and customize it your way using stickers and texts: move them around, resize them, change colors, play with fonts, or remove anything you don’t like. - when you’re happy with how it looks, download your photo strip and you’re done. - nothing is stored anywhere, all photos stay in your browser. Refresh the page once and everything is gone. Built with privacy in mind from the start. Give it a try here: photobooth-five-dusky.vercel.app
