@WhistleblowingT Not a school but NHS was told that if you can’t get in it’s either a days loss of pay or an AL day (if you have AL left)

@Sahschirping @JPLeather Or wait until Monday. Imagine someone having a Stroke or heart attack on a Friday evening and trying to wait until Monday morning when it’s cheaper to be seen.

@nick_tweeets @JPLeather @libertygal72 Depends on your income of course but someone earning £50000 pays approximately £200 per month for the NHS. Based on tax spend figures. I doubt I could get comprehensive health insurance for my family of 4 for less than that.

@jbnewq @AndyWoodturner @LaineEleslaine @JPLeather NI won’t be abolished if they introduce charges for medical care. NI doesn’t pay for the NHS. It pays the current pensions of the retired people of today. NHS is funded by general taxation, VAT etc… Very little chance the gov will reduce taxes. Charges for health would be extra

@NatashaFalvey But that requires EVERY part of the system to adopt my stance. Bloods, clinic space, transport etc.

@c_cook13 @KevorkJan A lot of the time the ‘delay’ in pharmacy is that the discharge letter is either a) not written or b) not correct. Not passing blame just sometimes we need to acknowledge that for things to happen safely they take time. Especially when everyone is under pressure

@KevorkJan Sometimes the delay leaving hospital is the wait for the pharmacy dispensing the medication

I avoid posting about dumping by secondary care, I know how tough life is there. But to discharge a patient the day after a knee replacement and tell them to get in touch with the GP for postop analgesia, what is behind that?

Unbelievable arrived in Malaga @easyJet 15 sets of golf clubs left behind in Manchester. There reply well they might be there on the next flight but we can’t guarantee it. Also can’t get hold of anyone at easy jet to find out what’s happening 😡

@potteriesbuses is there a problem with bus number 98 Burslem to Newcastle? My son reports that the 12:10 and 12:40 have gone past saying ‘sorry not in service’ he has had to get a taxi now.

@potteriesbuses So please educate your drivers as they are giving the wrong information out. I asked twice for a child’s ticket for a 9 year old and was told I needed to TOTO. Even after I questioned it driver stated ‘Yes! TOTO for child ticket’

@twacey84 Hi Tracey, TOTO would only work for adult tickets. Child tickets would need to be purchased directly from the driver. - Tamsin

@potteriesbuses one of your drivers refused to sell a child ticket for my 9 year old and insisted we had to tap on and tap off. I asked twice if she would be charged a child ticket and was told yes! Just seen this online. Which is it?

@EISSEM @DrAdamLawton And as a newly qualified band 6 pharmacist I have been the only on call pharmacist for the whole trust covering over 1200 beds across 2 sites. We also leave uni with similar amounts of debt. Let’s not get into us and them and support each other for better conditions.

@alnoz99 @SimonAHPInfo I worked in the private sector before joining the NHS and I had 6 months full sick pay (plus 6 months half pay), good pension and 35 days AL (including BH). The pressure should be on improving benefits for all. Not eroding them.

@SimonAHPInfo Here's a question if you were offered a 20% or even 25% pay rise but your benefits were changed to fall in line with majority of private sector would you take it or keep the benefits - 6 months full sick pay, good pensions, extra holidays based on length of service etc?

Pay isn’t the only reason I’m leaving the NHS. But Band 8a has become even more unattractive. Flat rate £1400 equates to just 2.9%, plus 5 year wait for increment ➡️ crisis in R&R of clinical specialists. AfC needs overhaul and fast. Solidarity with any industrial action. #NHSpay
