MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD This is my account cover page, as of 11/1/22. I am pinning this tweet for future verification purposes to show it is me and not an imposter once Elon takes away my blue checkmark. (Thank you @MuellerSheWrote and @AuthorKimberley for the idea.)

@Crawbaddy @Romy_Holland I have said that for almost 41 years — we brought our baby to Japan in 1985 for 2 weeks and had a fantastic time. Restaurants were happy to have her and gave me extra dishes (mostly desserts). But we were unusual back then, Americans traveling with a baby. Not so rare any more!

@Romy_Holland I've had a few friends insist that the best time to travel to Japan is when you have a young baby for exactly this reason!

@Romy_Holland We brought our then-10-week-old baby to Japan in 1985 and had a great time. Baby adjusted to Japan time faster than I did, but then she wasn’t really on any particular schedule yet. I had to look up why they kept saying the name of a Japanese island. 😂 Great memory.

@TerryK1618699 @lalabehr @atrupar “In certain locations.” Name three. I showed my vaccine record a few times to go to theaters during that period, but never a restaurant. The only time I had to show both ID and vaccine card was getting on a plane.

You shouldn’t call people liars just because you’re ignorant 🤷🏽‍♂️ or don’t have all the facts . It makes you look hateful . Google: Yes, in certain locations during 2021 and early 2022, you had to show both a photo ID and proof of vaccination (vaccine passport) to eat indoors at restaurants. Mandates in cities like New York and Chicago required patrons to prove vaccination status. Accepted proof included CDC cards, digital passes, or photos.

Blanche: "There's a lot of things we can be doing, like voter ID. Every time you walk into a restaurant you have to show ID. How about you have to show your idea to vote? That's not anything that's crazy."

@twcarey @DaberechiOlaedo Two people can use the exact same “perfect” routine and get totally different results because skin isn’t just surface level, it’s influenced by genetics, hormones, environment, stress, diet, even how your skin barrier behaves day to day.

@twcarey @BrownSubmariner @Romy_Holland Emirates is flying to Moscow since 2003, they did not stop in 2016 or 17. Plus that time air traffic was perfectly normal between Russia and US. Looks like you have no clue what happened and why the plane went back.

one time i was on a flight from dubai to sfo. 7 hours in, they come on the loud speaker and tell us there’s a medical emergency and we’re diverting to moscow. we’re about to go up over the north pole, so this is our last chance to land for awhile. i’m seated just behind the wing and watch as they start dumping fuel for 20 minutes to reduce weight. 2 hours later we land in moscow. it’s january and ive never seen a more depressing tarmac. i quickly lose all hope ill get a cool layover—it turns out visas take awhile to get, and in the end they don’t let us off the plane anyway. we sit for hours. children are crying. everyone is hungry and thirsty. finally after 5 hours, they feed us. this would be illegal under normal circumstances, but none of the rules apply to emergency landings. they keep coming on the intercom to say they’re working on taking off again. after 6 hours on the tarmac they finally tell us that the US will not clear the plane for entry because it opened its doors in russia. we have no choice but to return to dubai. we fly back and arrive in the middle of the night. we deplane and have to go through customs and immigration, and collect our checked bags. i’m flying a large rug back for someone as a favor, so i have an obscene amount of luggage. they send us to a weird little room to wait for a shuttle to an airport hotel. we wait an hour. it’s 4am when we reach the hotel. i pass out on a creaky twin bed for a few hours before the phone rings. it’s time to go back to the airport. bag check line, security line, then we finally board again. it’s the exact same plane, my same headrest is broken, the same guy is sitting next to me. it’s all so surreal. before we even begin taxiing they come on the intercom and tell us there’s been a medical emergency. there is a collective groan. no doubt someone’s just having some sort of anxiety attack, but nevertheless we wait an hour for them to remove the passenger. finally we take off. my whole body hurts and i feel delirious, but at least im not one of the people flying with kids. door to door the trip takes 54 hours total. 2 days later i wake up with the flu and am sick for 2 weeks.

@DaberechiOlaedo OK. I had very oily skin as a teen. I still have the occasional zit — and I am 70 years old. But I wash, exfoliate, and take great pains to keep my face, neck, chest and shoulders clean. I get a pro exfoliating treatment every 10 weeks. Even as a teen, I never had … this.
