I had to report a kid’s family to CPS after he confided in me. I don’t regret it, but the look of betrayal in his eyes when he realized what I’d done…that’s going to haunt me forever. He’s never going to trust me again. I just hope he finds another adult to trust.

Just a little update for those who are following this whole craziness. I'm now 7+ weeks post-op and starting to feel a bit better. I've got a long way to go, but I literally had a hump in my back and it looks so much better. 😭 (Gnarly semi-nude pic of my scar in comments.)
