Due to a broken down vehicle on Langsett Road, Blue and Yellow Trams are facing disruption. Blue and Yellow Tram services are currently terminating and turning at Shalesmoor and are unable to reach Middlewood or Malin Bridge. This is until further notice.

Just after I’d given birth to my twins, I went to the supermarket and the cashier - probably in her 50s - said she was a mum of twins too. ‘My husband left me the day they were born and we never saw him again’ she said matter-of-factly. I’ve never forgotten it. Or her. My heart goes out to Jesy and her babies. And I can’t write what I think about her amoeba of a fiance as I’d probably be arrested.

@DreyfusJames There's certainly a hierarchy when it comes to the 9 protected characteristics, #Disability seems to always come bottom, partly due to the MSM and politicians demonising #disabled people 🤬

I was just in my local doctors surgery, watching staff go about their business, adorned with rainbow lanyards & badges, & was thinking why it is that they don’t wear accessories connected to medical or health conditions? Like showing solidarity with the blind, deaf, disabled, leukaemia/multiple sclerosis/cancer patients etc? Even sick animals as a cause would make more sense… Why is the ‘LGBTQIA+’ prioritised over every single one of these, unless gender ideology has been forced onto the NHS nefariously, deliberately & purposefully? It’s like the plumbing trade wearing lanyards for unemployed Himalayan Sherpas. Makes very little sense. 🤷

@LNallalingham #SEND transport is arranged based on needs. If they can accommodate a shared minibus that works out better than individual taxi. There r 'some' young people that can't, safely travel with others. My beef is with the taxi firms & the amount of money they charge!! Look at that 🤬

I think what we need to be asking ourselves is why would a UK government prefer people to be on benefits rather than be in employment. Benefits make no money for the government. Employed workers pay tax so make money for the government. Something is not quite right here because it makes no sense to be actively encouraging mass unemployment. Surely the most important job of a government is to grow the economy & not to intentionally shrink it.

I have endometriosis, and I was denied a hysterectomy for over a decade because doctors claimed I’d regret losing my fertility. They stuck to that position for years, even though I told them over and over again that I have never wanted kids, and would be happy to adopt if by some freak occurrence I changed my mind. I was in my thirties before my doctor finally gave in — and my experience was fairly common, based on what other women with endo have told me. Meanwhile, the same doctors who will refuse to sterilize an adult woman, even to prevent her from suffering horribly every single month for years on end, somehow have no problem with giving children drugs that will render them sterile, destroy their sexual function, and lower their IQ by as much as 20 points if they don’t fit the societal stereotypes associated with their sex. As they say — make it make sense.

@areyoflight Yip, u tick 2 say disabled. If they're a disability confident employer you'll get interview (if meet criteria) but you'll not get the job. They've met their legal obligation. & u wonder y disabled people r the least likely 2 b in employment. @Keir_Starmer take note!

If I apply for a job and I mention my disability? Every time. Never get an interview. I don’t mention it? I always get the interview. I never get the job after the interview because I mention the disability. And you have to mention it - I once lied to get a job and didn’t declare my disability. Then I had a fucking seizure in a work party and no-one knew what to do. They let me get back up after thinking I was just drunk and let me walk into the road. I nearly got ran over. The police took me to the hospital.

@officialsammyuk I'm a governor overseeing safeguarding at a special school. I haven't seen any messages about dismissing these concerns. If I had, I'd certainly challenge that narrative!! Will keep my eyes open on our training content.
