I started a business nearly a month ago. I've been trying to build a SaaS over the past 8 months. Every time I failed, I learned something new. Here are some lessons: 1. Don't start a business just because you're tired of your job—it will be 10x or even 100x more exhausting than a 9-5. You'll work until midnight and need to learn almost everything yourself: marketing, coding, sales, business registration, taxes, etc. You must know at least the basics of most areas and be exceptionally good in one domain (like coding). You can't just hire someone to do it for you and expect them to fully understand your vision or build it your way. 2. Startups almost always fail—9 out of 10 times—and that one success might only be a small win. But collect enough small wins and you can get a big one. Don't rush, but never stop. Even when tired, doing minor tasks is far better than doing nothing. Stopping drops your progress to zero. Take short breaks by sending emails or making quick videos instead of completely stopping. 3. Enjoy the process of building your startup. You'll realize luck matters a lot and hard work doesn't always equal payoff. When I was employed, I felt much less stress than I do now—because everything depends on me. 4.
