@two_plus_twins @realBowfree @DemzDeliver It's not a loophole, its how the law was designed; an exemption for members-only groups and religious groups. It doesnt mean those groups can discriminate based on race though. so yeah, the FHA covers it

So say, a black nationalist group, tried to use and do what the white nationalist group was trying to do.. it would count the same

It’s unfortunate that today’s planned meeting with the Senate HELP Committee was cancelled after Democrats broke the agreement for a candid, closed door conversation and invited press. I’m always open to transparency — I spent hours testifying publicly yesterday. I am trying to make Congress work to improve the education system for Louisianans. Today’s meeting with Secretary McMahon was a step in that effort. Unfortunately, Democrats undermined a good-faith conversation with Secretary McMahon. We even rescheduled the original meeting so Democrats could make it. Democrats will not dictate the terms of today’s meeting and have lost the chance to speak to the Secretary today.

It’s all about fairness for everyone across the Commonwealth. My bill would stop organizations that restrict housing & membership based on race, color, national origin or ancestry. The bill would also ban discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.

The bill defines gender identity/expression with examples of identity, appearance, mannerisms. “Belief” isn’t listed or implied. That’s your addition, not the law. The text includes the ability to force gyms, spas, and other places to allow men who “identify as women” into women’s spaces. It does not matter if it is a hypothetical l, it matters if the law will allow it, which it does.
