For the second time, we celebrate Christmas on the same date as one big family, one country. For the second time in modern history, Christmas unites all Ukrainians. Today, we stand side by side. And we will not be lost. Whether in person or in our minds, we will greet each other, call our parents, kiss our children, hug our loved ones, and remember those we hold dear. In person, from afar, or in our hearts – Ukrainians are together today. And as long as we do this, evil has no chance. This unity and warmth toward one another embody the true spirit of Christmas – the unique atmosphere we will preserve within ourselves and share with those around us. With everyone we love. With everyone who is family to us. And today, that means every Ukrainian. Merry Christmas to all of you! Christ is born! Glorify Him!

Reading the @globeandmail @TorontoStar @TIFF_NET @nationalpost takes on Russians at War, now showinga t @TIFF_NET tomorrow... they can't wrap their heads around why humanizing the people who did this 👇 might be in fact, playing into Russia's propaganda objectives. Humanizing the barbarians who rape, pillage, shoot, burn innocent Ukrainians, means that voters in the West will ask their governments to stop providing lethal aid to Ukraine. It means that they favour a stalemate over Ukraine's victory. Would we expect Western viewers to humanize the Hamas barbarians from Oct 7? Would we sympathize with them that they were lied to by their superiors? That they might have substance abuse? That they might not have been paid? Would we expect Western viewers to humanize and sympathize with the Nazis who ran the concentration camps? They they too might have been lied to? Or not paid? Should we think about all their motivations? RUSSIANS AT WAR DID THIS. THEY ARE NOT THE GOOD GUYS. 👇 You better believe that I'm angry.

@bgurley Two scholars that are promoting typical populist rhetoric on foreign policy that sounds great but isn’t realistic to global power dynamic. Theorists that promote ideas that favour the “real” deep state of the Axis of Destabilizers (Iran, Russia, China, Hamas, Syria).

@byroncbriggs @DavidSacks Also the ripping of the EU trade agreement that Yanukovych was elected on - maybe it was the Ukrainian people tired of Russian influenced corruption who elected a govt that Putin basically bought. Respect for Sacks as a venture investing expert bc he provides context, not here.
