It's that time of the year again. Prepping for our 2026 every @Ubiquiti camera compared and rated video. It's a bit of an undertaking but we have some real horsepower in this years video, it's going to be hard to declare a winner!

To each their own. For my 114 Windows devices I delay feature updates 60 days and Quality updates 30 days. Yet we get security and defender updates everyday. I’m just saying that security updates for emergencies like this would benefit from a different channel than feature updates.

@tyhend88 @MactelecomN You update the whole application. Makes no sense to update just the security issues from a Ubiquiti perspective. Too much to manage for them.

@clayd333 @Ubiquiti Yes! The controllers are rock solid. My first units have been running 24/7 for almost 4 years now. I have a site with this reader still being used. The other sites had screen issues but @Ubiquiti had excellent service with fixing those 👏

@tyhend88 @Ubiquiti That base hub still runs my office Access. It was a great unit.. Really put @Ubiquiti on the map with access.. I've replaced both readers over the years..

I hold on to boxes way longer than I should. I was so excited when these came out! Time to purge old boxes today!

@BeamNetworks We like to drive things till the wheels fall off 😂 we are looking at SubSplash streaming. New Resi is way too expensive. I’m not a fan of losing the stream buffering but not sure what would replace the encoder.

@tyhend88 Ha! Haven’t seen the name Living As One for a while 🤣. Are you running resi on the Mac mini now via ProPresenter, or still using the Resi hardware encoder?
