@sam_gzstrength After severe extensor pollicis tendon pain for 3 months bilaterally after hitting 415 for working set, kind of set me back from wanting to go heavier than 350 bc grip starts to go and don’t want to use straps… once grip goes feel like I lose my lat and extensor brace…. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Why are you as a man, using straps on your 245 x 5 deadlift when you could just learn to use a hook grip and deal with some thumb pressure for 30 seconds?

@cjbunker888 @OU_Softball Now that, I’m not going to agree or argue. But it’s clear you don’t have personality like Hansen, Coleman, Britto, Bahl, Boone, etc. real leaders. Maybe minor and wells turn into that but can’t ask freshman to do it all. They’ll bounce back, but need an ace in the portal

@cjbunker888 @OU_Softball In all fairness… this lineup with a true ace like they had last year (Sam Landry) and both years are different in my opinion. Pitching and errors blew the first game. She can’t make the plays for them

The correct way to do Pull-Ups for Muscle Growth: - Explosive concentric - Controlled (but not needlessly long) eccentric - Chin gets CONVINCINGLY over bar at top (bar is approaching clavicle) - 98% of the way to full dead hang at bottom (scapula remains depressed/shoulders dont rise)
Gregory Blotnick@gregoryblotnick

seeking pull-up twitter input: LEFT VIDEO: pull-up Guinness World Record (Oh Yahon) from 2025 (11,707 in 24 hrs) RIGHT VIDEO: what I was taught as a pull-up: dead hang, full ROM, chin above bar whats correct?? bc the # of pullups you can do, it could be 5...or it could be 20.

A 2023 study found that people carrying high-interest debt report significantly higher rates of anxiety, sleep disruption, and relationship strain than those who don't. The interest rate is the financial cost of debt. The psychological cost never shows up on a statement - but it's usually the more expensive one. Paying it down aggressively serves as a double win. 1. A guaranteed 20%+ return on every dollar you put toward it. 2. Buying back your own peace of mind

@BBrown77465042 @SpurgeonBooks Romans 3:11 there is no one who seeks God. Romans 8:30 And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.

I hear what you are conveying, Josh. I don’t know if you heard me but I do hear you in this reply and thank you for it. For those of us in Christ, it is honorable to be married and have children and it’s honorable to remain single. Both can flourish. That’s the example of the early NT church. I did get stuck on the word “cute” and I’ll tell you on reason why. I know so many marvelous single women who love Jesus with all their hearts. Among them are no few who want/wanted to be married and have babies and are often left to wonder if they somehow were not attractive enough or if they — in late 20s & in their 30s! — have aged out of being good wife material. It breaks my heart because their excellence and loveliness are so apparent. I will leave the conversation here and in good faith.

Because Beth graciously responded publicly, I want to do the same. Beth, couple quick things... 1) The creation mandate to "be fruitful and multiply" is given as sort of the "default mode" of humanity. This was the general *command* (not suggestion) given to mankind as a general whole. So yes, it is *definitely* a good thing to encourage people in general toward marriage and children, and marrying a cute girl who loves Jesus and having lots of kids is *definitely* a way to live a consequential life. I didn't say it was the ONLY way, but I definitely think it is not only *a* way, but the *primary* way God would have most people do it. 2) I'm speaking as a man to young men, and I can tell you with a very high degree of certainty the vast majority of men need to apply the command, "It is better to marry than to burn with passion" more than trying for Paul's singleness, which even he acknowledges will be the exception rather than the rule. 3) Probably just an accidental oversight, but you omitted in your reply the "who loves Jesus" part of my encouragement to young men when looking for who they're marrying. I did not say "just look for a cute girl" 4) I surely don't think you're saying this, but for any onlookers who are - good grief. Surely, we're not scolding young men for wanting to find a woman he's attracted to to marry? If anything, the Bible sets forward the example that a man should be and stay passionately, joyfully attracted to his wife (Prov 5, SoS, Gen 2) We have got to stop scolding young men for virtually any drive, desire, or masculine instinct they have. Those are God-given, and should be harnessed for his glory. 5) I fear this is a good example of CS Lewis' admonition that Satan is always confusing Christians to try to solve the opposite NET problem they are facing and "bringing a fire extinguisher to a flood." We have generationally-low marriage rates, generationally-low birthrates, the collapse of the family, people waiting until their 30's to get married (long past their biological clocks and most fertile years), cultural population collapse, and the rise of "stay single, wine-down-Wednesday, and travel, YOLO culture"... I don't think the primary problem we are facing is that young men are too focused on marrying godly women when they are young and having big families.
Beth Moore@BethMooreLPM

Josh, you have been so dear to me. I legitimately love you. I don’t even like writing this reply but I’m flummoxed. Numbers 4 and 5. What are we to make of the apostle Paul whose life was the furthest thing from inconsequential and unfulfilled? Or of his recommendation of singleness to those who could control their passions? And, Josh, cute girls? Is that our qualification for being a good pick to marry?
