Everyone certainly took a beating from Mother Nature’s winter fury this weekend. Kudos to the hard-working crews that kept plugging away to keep the mountain highways safe for travelers. Alas, the dawning of a new week beckons them again to their appointed rounds in the Sierra.
Flash forward to just after 4:00… this is video from the I80 overpass at Drum Forebay 🥶 Total white out conditions. No one on the roads, besides @CaltransDist3 crews and snow plows. I don’t see the interstate reopening any time soon…

On snow patrol today for @kcranews ❄️ Here’s some video I took at 1:30 on I80 at Drum Forebay when the snow really started to kick in. Cars/semis parked on the side of the interstate for hours. @CaltransDist3 says I80 is still shutdown from Colfax to Stateline 🚧

We have now received 260" of snow in the '22-'23 season‼️ Mother Nature is refusing to give it a rest, though, with another 4+ FEET of snow by Wednesday.
Is it time we dust off the old #JanuBURIED hashtag? You tell us ❄️🤿

@HardcoreHistory@Grimezsz Also after trying to call someone out it is polite to apologize and admit fault when you have been proven wrong...I know it's not often you are so I figured id explain
@Grimezsz Just to be clear, if it’s Tolkien’s elves you wish to emulate, the pointed ears were not part of the description. They added that just for the movies, but JRR never said a word about pointed elf ears.
2 years ago I made an appt with a great plastic surgeon, thought I might want to change things up by my mid 30s, but then I forgot and never thought about what I should do. Any face mods y’all think would look good on me? (Elf ears isn’t an option, that’s a separate quest)
@HardcoreHistory@Grimezsz According to letter 27 and page 35 to his American publisher, he describes hobbit it ears as"only slightly pointed and 'elvish'"
@profgalloway love the pod, wanted to say tho that you are slightly misinformed on what his people I hate list is and why it's there. Do agree about turning the heat down tho
Does anyone remember the old AMD 3 core CPU's? I'm still blown away that AMD made a business out of largely selling quad core CPUs where a single core didn't pass QA...
