The snowy conditions might not have everybody feeling the holiday spirit, but that hasn't stopped some from stepping up to help others. Iris Dyck spoke to a couple of good neighbours who didn't hesitate to pick up the shovels.
Like you, I'm scared about climate breakdown. Today, I joined a #MultiFaithClimateAction to call on those who are funding the crisis to #DivestFossilFuels (@RBC has put more than $262Bill toward oil & gas since the Paris Accords). I'm still scared, but I know I'm not alone.
UPDATE: issue is resolved - thanks to “Mark” on the phone! (Took a long time having to plead our case for Bell’s error, but we’re glad to not be paying overage charges)
@cbcmarketplace have you heard from others about @Bell_Support@Bell charging consumers for data to cover home internet service that wasn’t functioning for weeks? Home internet was down Aug 22 - Sept 10; data was promised; went over data allotment, and then overage charge of $1k
Galen Weston, our hero and captor, single-handedly fights back against his own price gouging, stating “most [unfair price increases] are reasonable”, meaning some are unreasonable. Apparently it’s the suppliers’ fault, explaining Loblaw’s soaring profit margin. #greedflation
@Bell_Support I appreciate the reply. I don’t like that it has meant so many hoops for me to jump through to get help - want to pay me for my time on hold? And when I talk with someone, they’re happy to pass the buck!
@tylergingrich Sorry for the trouble, Tyler. Please allow us to check the account. Please send us a DM with your mobile number so we could proceed with our validation process. twitter.com/messages/compo…
It’s cheaper to get about 4 @wpgpolice photo radar tickets than go 6gb over in data usage in one month by @Bell@Bell_Support - be warned! (And this was when Bell was supposed to be helping us when our Bell Home internet was down!)
@Bell@Bell_Support screwed over our home internet for a month, said they’d give us data and then charged about four months overage $$ for going over by 6gb. Proceed with caution if you’re seeking their service! Not recommended!
@tylergingrich Us too! Thanks for your patience, we know how frustrating it is to be without power. Crews are working on splicing the damaged cable together and now expect to have power fully restored by 8 p.m.
#mboutage Charleswood update: the damage is worse than expected and the remaining customers will be out until we can repair the underground cable. We're hoping for full restoration by 5:30 p.m., but we're working as quickly as we safely can.
