The same class of people who destroyed the economic models for societal institutions and replaced them with shitty attention algorithms that these institutions have to now dance to sure have it all figured out.

@tyleroakleaf Feel free to go Ham .. I’m usually very open to anything that improves things.. the surface area is thin enough that most work is around improving internal plumbing.. it’s mostly vite and nitro doing the real hardcore work

Is there some AI product that can read my source code and help me write docs? Desperately needed to get vinxis docs up to standard

Software development often defies intuition. If your engineering leadership don’t read and prefer to intuit their way through the job, you’re in for a bad time.

@ThePrimeagen @mattpocockuk Yea, like if he’s using this to open a pizza parlor then a server running typescript will almost certainly burn all the pizza. What an idiot to assume the problem space was a standard crud web app

@mattpocockuk sincere question how do you have a stack picked out before you even know what you are going to build?

@teej_dv If you want the internet to forget you’ll need to do something more substantive.

@ericnormand Don’t let the jerks get you down. Grokking Simplicity is the best programming book I’ve read. I buy it to give away to coworkers. World’s a slightly better place for your contribution

Well now I'm sad. 😔 If you read it, did you have to "fight through" Grokking Simplicity? Was it too long? Tedious? If not, let me know! I hear it takes 100 positive reviews to counteract one negative one.
Robert Sösemann@rsoesemann

This just made my day. I just finished quite disappointed Grokking Simplicity by @ericnormand (see my Amazon review). When I fought through 600 pages, I not only once wished that "Concise @unclebobmartin" would write about the same topic.

Tech companies like to structure themselves as assembly lines, and then try to assemble 100 different products all at once.

@adamwathan If you’re listening/playing music in there get some good acoustic treatment. More than you think you need. 2-6” thick rigid fiberglass kind, not foam. Looks like you have a good ceiling for it too. You’ll be amazed the difference it makes, even for concentration.

This is gonna be my office at the new house… Lot bigger than current office but need to figure out how to fit my desk, some office storage, a drum kit, a bunch of guitars, and maybe a chair while somehow keeping it feeling nice and spacious. Possibly impossible, we’ll see!

@kyleshevlin Move to the woods. Pretend technology, politics and most other aspects of outside civilization don’t exist. Play acting capitalism will be as pointless as FarmVille

@NotMyAgile Clearly you have never met “the programmers who started it”. I’d classify all of those that I have met as introverts, though introverts who manage their introversion very well.

Introverts hate pair programming and loathe team programming. The programmers who started it were all extroverts. Most devs in the early days were. These are just facts. #NotMyAgile
