A cornucopia of the mundane and the occasionally intriguing, much like a flea market where one might find both treasures and trash in equal measure. -- Rex Reed

デトロイトはピザが有名なのね。イタリア移民は東海岸というイメージだったけど、有名なシカゴのアル・カポネもイタリア系だし、中部にはイタリア系が多いのかな?

@VigilantFox Bill Maher is so stupid. Hate crimes are typically performed with the goal of inspiring fear/terror in an entire population of people which is why they are punished differently than ordinary crimes. It has nothing to do with thought policing, it has to do with intent.

Actor Seth Green thought Bill Maher would love to hear how Trump inspired him to read 1984. What happened next was something he didn’t expect. Instead of trashing Trump, Maher flipped the script and gave Green a blunt observation about “liberal dogma” that he had “never thought about in that way.” It all started when Green brought up “thought crime.” GREEN: “When was the last time you read 1984? I read it in 2016 when Trump was running… But the main thing was getting down to thought crime… where you thinking something is an arrestable offense.” MAHER: “But that’s a hate crime.” GREEN: “Well, this is it, right? We’re edging that territory.” MAHER: “We’re not edging. It’s been decades since we said we believe in this country that there is such a thing as a hate crime. Now, that’s basic liberal dogma. I consider myself a liberal, but I never agreed with that. A hate crime is a thought crime. It’s a thought crime, and I don’t think we should go down that slope. A crime is a crime. If you kill somebody, you should be punished for it. The law should not be involved in what is in your mind.” GREEN: “I hadn’t really thought about it that way, but that’s a fair point.”

The guy just landed a spacecraft on a comet — one of the most impressive scientific achievements in years. His reward? A public struggle session because his bowling shirt had scantily clad women on it. Helen Andrews points out the quiet cost of institutional feminization: HR departments now hunt down any maverick personality and stamp it out. We’re losing innovators we’ll never even know about, all because someone focused on the shirt instead of the comet. This is how wokeness actually works. Have you seen real excellence get punished for something trivial like this?

The Trump Admin is closing all USDA Forest Service research facilities in Michigan. Losing these facilities threatens our fight against invasive pests which will jeopardize 3 million acres of forest in Michigan.

@proofcrimepod I worked closely with Stacy at the time of the murder, and closely with Scott at the time of his arrest. Just heard about Scott's release and death this morning. Thanks for trying to help him out until the end.

"He murdered that old man. And put flowers on his grave." Scott's old girlfriend says she remembers it like it was yesterday. Even the most honest witness can have a shift or two in the story, right? "Memories Awake" in Season 3: Murder at the Bike Shop. proofcrimepod.com

NEW: Tulsa, Oklahoma, has unveiled the state's first-ever "musical road" that plays "This Land is Your Land" when drivers drive over it. The new feature can be experienced when drivers pass over the Southwest Boulevard Bridge. The taxpayer price tag works out to about $5,800 per second of music, totaling $110,000. Drivers are told to drive about 35 mph to get the proper experience. The noise is produced by grooves in the pavement that create vibrations felt and heard in the car. Cool.

Considered not engaging with you at all because this post is clearly designed to rage bait me, but I'll use it as a teaching moment instead. I just want violent criminals locked up. Black or White. Yesterday, I posted about a White guy arrested 30+ times still walking the streets. You left that out on purpose of course... Because if you included it, the racism argument you levied against me obviously falls apart and you actually have to engage with the argument. Of course, you never actually wanted to engage with it haha, you wanted rage baiting and to call me a racist. Which is a useful tactic when you don't have an argument. You don't have to explain why an extremely violent man whose own mother said he should be locked up was on a public bus with a knife. You don't have to ask why the system failed Iryna. You just call everyone you disagree with a racist and watch people back down. Well, I am not backing down. Violent people should be locked up. Regardless of race. The moment someone becomes a danger to the public, the public comes first. Iryna Zarutska is dead because that did not happen. Call me a racist for that ALLLLLL YOU WANT I do not care. ...nor does it make you right You are a coward who hides behind a fake name, using a fake persona, calling real people racists from behind a screen because you know if you actually had to defend your argument you'd lose, because deep down you know exactly what you are. You are a nobody with a keyboard too scared to put your real name on your real opinions because you might have to face consequences in the real world. Sit. Down.

On August 22, 2025, Iryna Zarutska was killed on a bus by a black man. That man suffers from schizophrenia and was not in control of his actions. @mattvanswol has created a career of out lying about the incident, and directing his followers to hate black people. Fuck that guy.

A Bellingham, Wash. leftist who is the founder of the local chapter of the Naked Bike Ride has bailed out after being arrested and charged with child s—x crimes. Zachary Elisha Robertson, a former coordinator with Food Not Bombs, allegedly had dozens of files of explicit images of young children on his laptop. He was caught after allegedly looking at the images while m—sturbating under a blanket. The Naked Bike Ride features heavily at Pride events where people bring children to ride along with them. Those who have raised safeguarding concerns have been called transphobic and queerphobic. Robertson authored and drew a children's book called "Norma Normal" about a young girl who doesn't wear clothes. He is also a founder of the Cascadia Community Land Trust. Robertson told Bellingham Police that the child n—de images were research material for his 2020 book. He bailed out on March 11 after paying $2,500 cash. He's been removing his social media since. ngocomment.com
