Yesterday, Shreyas Doshi gave a talk about habits to increase work productivity: ➡️3 takeaways worth highlighting: (a) Your real To Do list resides on your Calendar and not on a list - To Do list otherwise isn’t realistic since it doesn’t factors in # of hours in your workday (b) Before finishing work for the {day/week}, plan out your next {day/week} - Review calendar, schedule meetings & schedule pre-reads to go out (c) You can’t disassociate yourself from emails & Slack - Feel “placebo productivity” by giving yourself time daily to sort through these notifications - Put a filter for most important emails / updates; read these ideally at start of day ➡️3 frameworks he touched upon: (1) Types of Tasks - LNO - (high) Leverage (e.g. hiring, sprint plans); do these when at peak energy - Neutral (e.g. catch-ups); do these in blocks - Overhead (e.g. emails); do these when tired (2) Types of Meetings - III - Initiated (by you) - Influenced (by you or your actions) - Imposed (by someone else upon you) (3) To think before meetings - OOO - What is the desired Outcome? - What / who is the expected Obstacle? And, why? - How do you Overcome the obstacle? Note: Shreyas has written individual posts about each framework (and, has videos about them - just search on YouTube) 🧠Have always enjoyed sessions from Shreyas - this one was great because he dived into his own process & system (with screenshots from his own calendar to explain how he works) - amazingly efficient person! Although it was aimed at Product Managers, takeaways applied to almost every functional domain.

@u21d04 I actually sandboxed the app about a year ago, in theory it should be compatible with the Mac App Store, but the whole publishing process seems so complicated that I never got around to doing it. Still planned though.

Big news: after two years of development, I bit the bullet and introduced paid tiers. Looks like the app may have a future after all : ) shottr.cc/purchase.html To balance out the potential effect, the free version stays pretty much unlimited, and there's a coupon FIRSTWEEK50

@PlayApp_iOS In smart search, is it possible to filter by multiple channels? Right now I can only filter using a single channel, but using multiple channels would make it much useful.

Also in case I’m missing something, is there some way to filter music music by tags with the current features?

@EndelSound Hi! I want to change the email id associated with my endel subscription but couldn’t find such an option in the app. Would greatly appreciate help in this regard.

@Vidimote Got it. I hope Apple allows more options for extensions in the future or you might decide to go for the web extension version on Mac. Still, I’d like to express my appreciation for the ios app. It’s the first extension I install every time I’ve had to reset or change my phone.

@u21d04 What that option effectively is meant for are extensions that target only specific sites. An extension that's meant to be usable and available on any website can't make use of that.

@Vidimote The Mac version asks for permissions to access Web page contents and Browsing History for "all web pages". Can this be changed to a per-site basis permission? A lot of extensions have now enabled this feature as it ensures greater privacy.

@Vidimote Thanks for the reply. In the screenshot you've shared there is the option of "some" - allowing specific domains. Isn't that like having per site permissions? As it will allow the user to choose the websites on on which Vidimote works.

@u21d04 On macOS, Vidimote is implemented as a Safari App Extension. Vidimote's native UI and advanced features like additional PiP controls would otherwise not be possible. Other than Safari Web Extensions, Safari App Extensions can't offer "per website" permissions:

@EndelSound Thanks a lot. I had already used some of these scripts to make some shortcuts. Specifically I was looking to create a shortcut where I could specify the timer duration for a soundscape.

@u21d04 We don't have official URL schemes, but one of our users used our internal and experimental URL scheme to make the scripts for a Raycast app to automate simple commands for Endel. Maybe it can be interesting for you. github.com/raycast/script….

@EndelSound Does Endel have any x-callback url scheme? I’d like to make use of it to create some ios shortcuts and automations for myself. Any documentation or help would be appreciated.
