@aletechview soon, but not yet. @elonmusk just has to announce another round of price cuts for the stock to drop enough that he can close his shorts.
English

For the record, $TSLA cutting prices in China and Europe will cost TSLA $1.6 BILLION in net income (-11%) this year. With competitors all matching the price cuts what is the benefit? To accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy, wouldn’t it be far better to spend say $100M to communicate directly with non-EV owners why now is a great time to switch to EVs - lower cost, charging convenience, superior performance, OTA tech updates, no carbon emissions?
Price cuts are a short term sugar high that pulls forward orders from those who already own or are interested in an EV. We saw that over and over again in 2022-2023. Mass comms that convince ICE owners to go EV are a long term investment that pays dividends forever. Once an ICE owner goes EV they don’t go back. We respectfully ask TSLA mgmt to think longer term. @MartinViecha @elonmusk

"I just think the...price cuts that they've put in place don't make a lot of sense," says @garyblack00 on $TSLA. "Every time they cut prices on say Model Y by a thousand, it's costing them $500M."
English

@SawyerMerritt @Tesla Teslas are the safest cars on the road, but most people don’t know that

NEWS: @Tesla Model Y wins the 2023 safety car award from What Car?
"There is no safer place to put your money or your family in 2023 than the Tesla Model Y."
In addition, the Model 3 won the Executive Car Of The Year, as well as the Efficiency award.
English

@wholemars Can @elonmusk join that suggestion too? Maybe behaving like a CEO that cares about the company, the brand and the stock (all three together both at the long and short term)
English

@garyblack00 @GerberKawasaki @ByWhatMeasure @EmmetPeppers Agree. Don't know why people still argue negatively to that type of PR or advertising/education. This is not rocket science (SpaceX) or brain surgery (Neuralink) 😜
English

@GerberKawasaki @ByWhatMeasure @EmmetPeppers Agree 💯with Ross. To get to $3T valuation, Elon needs to pivot from environment where Tesla sells itself (worked when demand was capacity constrained) to an environment where capacity exceeds demand and there needs to be much better consumer education and training. $tsla

@MarkXHolland @SawyerMerritt @Tesla You are assuming people are educated about EVs. When they see an ad from GM and stop by their dealer, the sales guy is going to explain why GM cars are better than Tesla. If they don't know all the facts, they will buy the GM. Tesla should start educating normal people.
English

@uOscar @SawyerMerritt @Tesla No, they're going to buy the best possible value car possible taking into account cost of ownership, performance, tech, safety, etc. I wonder which brand comes instantly to mind? (It ain't GM).

Since Elon bought Twitter @Tesla's account has been way more active. The account has sent out a total of 55 tweets in the last 30 days, 3.7x more than the same time period the year prior.
Tesla's 55 tweets the last 30 days have a combined 290 million views on Twitter.

@garyblack00 Tesla to 95 in approximately 3-5 weeks time and up from there

I’ve been saying for months one has to judge inflation on the most current MoM inflation reads and not backward looking TTM inflation the Fed uses. Over the past 5 months headline CPI is just +2.3% annualized (lower energy); core CPI is +4.7% annualized. Good for growth stocks.

BLINDER: Inflation in the second half of 2022 is “almost back down to the Federal Reserve’s 2% target. Even more astonishing, hardly anyone seems to have noticed.” @WSJopinion #CPI wsj.com/articles/infla…
English

@elonmusk @farzyness Nope. You messed up @elonmusk. Back in mid 2022 starting making one bad decision after another.
English

@MartinViecha Maybe if the CEO had focused showing positive things of Tesla brand instead of making stupid political noise and a culture war, we could have sold 35k more cars... Just maybe
