Just heard that someone was kidnapped around OPIC/Kara here. They reportedly abducted her alongside five other people and allegedly k!lled three of them. The kidnappers demanded ₦80 million in ransom, and the church even contributed money to help. The kidnappers got 20 million but still didn’t release them.
Apparently, it wasn’t until a fight broke out among the kidnappers that some of the victims were able to escape. After wandering around for a while, they realized they had been in OPIC the entire time.
My mouth has been hanging open since I heard this. This is someone I actually know. Nowhere feels safe anymore😭😭

I use to have a friend who won’t microwave his own food until his wife comes back from work.
He’ll get home by 3pm but his wife closes by 7pm and also get the kids (3boys) from school while he’s home, he won’t microwave his food not to talk of cooking.
The day I told him it was a bad habit, he said “why should I enter the kitchen when I am not a woman, I can’t remember the last time I entered the kitchen, the kitchen is not a place where a man should be”
That was the last time we spoke.

“There is no common sense in coming back home to cook for someone who has been home all day, except such person is disabled”. I can’t believe men were under that post crying about their “right” to be useless. Sometimes I find myself thinking about all the humiliation and hardship the older generation of women went through, and how it shaped the boys they raised to believe it’s normal for women to suffer like that. It’s honestly a mix of pity and disgust. No wonder majority of them looked older than their ages. Slavery with a legal document. Even if we leave romantic partners out of it, how do you expect a roommate to come home tired and still cook for you when you’ve been home all day? That’s not just a lack of empathy, it’s plain irresponsibility. At that point, you’re just a very useless adult, topping the hierarchy of uselessness without stress. Fvcking twats.

My Uber driver yesterday asked me if I was married.
I said no.
This man sighed dramatically and goes,
“Good. Don’t rush. Marriage is hard.”
Then he spent the next 20 minutes complaining about his wife:
how she nags,
how she’s always stressed,
how she’s “changed” since having kids.
At one point he said,
“She doesn’t even smile at me the same anymore.”
Then he got a phone call.
It was his wife.
First thing she said was:
“Did you remember to pick up the medicine for the baby?”
This man got irritated immediately.
Started snapping:
“I’m working, stop calling me.”
“Figure it out yourself.”
Hung up.
Then looked at me and said,
“Women just become miserable after marriage.”
And honestly…
some men will slowly drain the joy out of a woman
and then blame her for no longer glowing around them.

I and my husband had some issues and he asked me to leave. I left because my mum said we will settle the matter in her place that I should come. So I packed my things and left with my three children. When I got to mum’s place she called my husband but he refused to come. So I stayed with her for 3 weeks and later went to my cousin's place to stay for a month. While there I was pleading with my husband to take me and the children back but he refused. Note when I left it wasn't up to a month before he brought a lady to the house. The lady was staying with him. After 4months with the help of God, his friends and some relatives prevailed on him and we settled the issues. Then he brought us back to the house. But the problem now is, he is insisting on marrying the lady he brought in. They are both serious on getting married. He even told me he brought me back because of my children that he is not my husband any more. I don't know what to do. We have been together since 2019. And I love him so much. He had threatened to leave the house. Now he complained of not having money, my children may not resume school this term because of money. We don't have food in the house. But he is insisting on marrying that girl. The little money he has he will share with her. Am not happy because financially he is down and am ready to manage with him but he refused to leave this lady. He said he doesn't want to marry me any more. Please I need help. The lady in question is pregnant already . Please advise me on what to do. I don't want my home to scatter. #copied
