New Zealanders deserve a public service that delivers results and better value for their taxpayer money. Too much of government is tied up in duplication right now - outdated systems and unnecessary bureaucracy, and 39 separate agencies. So we’re modernising the public service by streamlining agencies, embracing AI, and making sure your money is spent where it delivers the best value for you, the taxpayer. By doing that, we expect to save another $2.4 billion over the next four years, which will be reinvested into frontline services like health, education, infrastructure, Defence, and Police. Fixing the basics, building the future.

I'm retracting what I said earlier. Do NOT boycott the match. Instead, every Iranian in the Greater Los Angeles area is obligated to show up and protest both the islamic regime and FIFA. Bring. Your. Lion and Sun. Flags.

@aniobrien @SarahTheHaider How little regard and love you must have for your child to even entertain this idea. But this is not an isolated case it’s a cultural issue which believes women only serve a limited number of purposes in life. Any the West has been flooded with men who 100% believe this is ok

How is New Zealand going to grow by laying people off? Their wages go back into the economy, take that away and the local shop, cafe, grocer looses income.

Chris bishop says its "offensive" to say the hutt valley is full of public servants. Very weird thing for him to say about his electorate that is absolutely full of public servants

The problem is the women in the video with that man. They are propping him up. Validating him. Protecting him. They are traitors to their own sex. HE is a mentally ill man and THEY are enablers.

You work hard for your money. A smaller government means you can keep more of it. ACT would go further, but Budget '26 is finally shrinking the Wellington bureaucracy so we can protect the front line.

There has been a bit of agitation against me for the last couple of days, begun because I objected to a senior journalist accusing someone of stochastic terrorism (who is Jewish, which I think is relevant for many reasons, including that said journalist would be one of the first to react if someone made such an allegation against other minorities) with no basis to do so. So then the accusations began against me. To make this as clear as I can, if I see someone accusing me of saying something I have never said or believed about NZ Muslims, or being a white supremacist or part of a white supremacist network, you can expect me to respond, more so because I’ve myself been a target of a white supremacist group in NZ. You can try to intimidate me. But while I understand some people think insisting on or believing in the importance of the truth is a trait of white supremacy, I don’t. Prof Mohan Dutta jumped in, of course, with the “just asking questions” line beloved of conspiracists. In fact, the post to which I responded (and another from the same person) did not “ask questions”. It made statements of purported fact as below. I don’t care if you’re a professor or an apparent nobody hiding behind the veil of anonymity, you don’t get to “ask questions” or make statements with no factual basis that put a target on me. It’s predictable and tiresome that addressing this has led to further bad faith smears and attacks - mostly it seems from the kind and compassionate antiracist far left but perhaps some on the far right too (who can even tell these days?) - including that I said that the Israel Institute is part of a white supremacist network (of course I didn’t) and that the hate mail I received is a “false flag” that I might have even created myself! I assure you I have much better things to do with my time. As I noted in my response, these accusations have zero evidentiary rigour, which was the obvious point of me saying using the same standards I could accuse my accuser of sending hate mail to me. Obviously I have no reason to believe she sent me hate mail. THAT’S THE POINT. Using the same standards (ie. again - for the hard of understanding - none) I could also make statements or “just ask questions” about anyone - Dutta, or any of my other detractors - alleging any horrible fanciful thing I like with absolutely no evidence. Fantasy is not fact. Again, THAT IS THE POINT. Amazing how often that Jean-Paul Sartre quote comes in handy: “Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.” And now that’s my final comment and I’ll get on with enjoying my evening and I suggest everyone does the same.

I’ve had 1000s of conversations with women in my 50+ years and not once have any expressed concerns about trans women in our spaces. Not ONCE. Our concern is over our safety from men, for obvious reasons. So the toxic males who talk of ‘protecting womens’ spaces’… get fucked!
