I was prepared to run for Congress in California’s 6th District. When Kevin Kiley announced Monday he was moving there, I kept my word to the Republican Party and stepped aside rather than challenge him. But on Friday, Kevin resigned from the Republican Party. That decision completely changed the dynamics of this race and left the 3rd District without a Republican candidate with the strength and recognition needed to win. So I’m stepping forward. I’m running for Congress in California’s 3rd District. To my supporters who remain in the 6th District, I need your support more than ever. To those in the 3rd District who have supported me before, I’m asking you to stand with me again. The June primary is fast approaching. It’s all hands on deck. To take on Ami Bera and win, we need the resources to build a strong campaign now. He is entering unfamiliar territory, and this is the opportunity for Republicans and independents to come together, hold the House majority, and win this seat. Join the campaign today. #BishForCongress #CA03

In a campaign email Antonio Villaraigosa thinks Xavier Becerra should listen to @CA_Dem Chair Rusty Hicks’ advice and get out of the race. Points to data from @paulmitche11 in the email ⬇️ “According to data guru Paul Mitchell’s “Top Two Twins Primary Simulator,” the best way to avoid Republicans taking the top two spots in the runoff is for Xavier Becerra to drop out of the Governor’s race and withdraw his name from the ballot •According to Micthell’s Primary Simulator if Becerra drops out, the odds of two Republicans in the Top Two drop to only 8% •According to Micthell’s Simulator, if Becerra stays in the race, the odds of Republicans in the Top Two jump nearly twenty points to 27.6%”
