@Allan_littlecar @tendersombrero The egg capsule looks a lot like what you find in umagillids, but those are symbiotic. Assuming this is a free living species I would have to guess it is another dalyellioid rhabdocoel.

aggressive reminder that insects, fairy shrimp, remipedes, and now copepods too (!!!) are a clade of crustaceans called Allotriocarida or literally "weird shrimp". Bugs is shrimps, by definition

@gustavmelin Studier av landlevande snäckor som är en artrik grupp med fler arter än däggdjur och fåglar tillsammans, visar mycket hög extinction rate, 10-100 gånger högre än den "naturliga" utdöendehastigheten.

@gustavmelin Inlägget baseras på anekdotiska resonemang om ryggradsdjur, men > 95% av alla djur är inte ryggradsdjur. Bara någon enstaka procent av ryggradslösa djur har blivit utvärderade av IUCN. Det är därför meningslöst att extrapolera med utgångspunkt från ryggradsdjuren.

@Swidstrand Mycket oroande. Man får hoppas att det blir en regelrätt utredning med remissgång till relevanta expertorgan, universitet m fl. Från min utgångspunkt vore det bättre att samla alla dessa beslut hos SNV med uppgift att främst ta hänsyn till biologisk mångfald och ekologi.

Tala om att sätta vargen att passa fåren. Nu föreslår regeringen att en särskild ”jakt-och viltvårdsmyndighet” ska ”ansvara för jakt och viltvårdsfrågorna på nationell nivå”. De 3% jägare vill nu helt styra vårt djurliv på 100% av markerna. Andra intressen undanbedes. Absurt.
