Nuclear energy is one of the most underinvested areas relative to its potential, and I’m thrilled that Alt Capital is leading Antares’s Series A. Fission is one of the most promising sources of energy we have at our disposal, and the 100-300kW micro reactors Antares is building (reactors about the size of a car) have the potential to meaningfully improve the efficiency and strength of our military. Beyond that, Antares’s reactors will also have important commercial dual use applications for decarbonizing extractive industries. @jordanbramble and @juliadewahl have assembled a remarkable team out of places like SpaceX, General Atomics, and Los Alamos National Laboratory. They have a clear vision for how to build this technology in the most effective way and how to work with our government to bring it to the military. We’re very lucky to be partnered with them on their mission to strengthen national security, decarbonize industry, and even help expand our presence in space.
