The club and the coach have already spoken and agreed on this. Neither the club nor the coach will trigger the clause that would allow him to leave a year early from his current contract.
Bucero and Alemany are already working on shaping Atlético’s 2026–27 squad with Simeone at the helm. The coach is fully aware of the sporting department’s plans and the work being done to strengthen the squad.
