Another bit of 'Taste of Chocolate' trivia - the original version of 'Put Your Weight On It' was called 'The Wrath (Part II)' and flipped 'Amen Brother': unkut.com/2026/03/diggin…

This joint just goes hard. That simple. Catching absolute wreck with the cutting and scratching. Produced by Ibu & Mixed by Jazzy Jay, this was hip hop in its rawest form. Was thrilled when I finally snagged this 12 inch single some years back. Divine Force Holy War '87

I’ve been binging Industry this month and they used the album version of “Shame on a Nigga” to close out the Rishi episode in season 3. That show got too many white people for that. Shoulda been the superior “Shame on a Nuh” anyway.

Looking forward to the 2026 remake of 'The Odd Couple', a TV show where MC Serch and Fat Joe share an apartment and trade stories about things that never happened.

@thehotboxsocial I'm saddened that I still haven't found a copy of 'The Overweight Lovers In The House' 12" out in the wild.

@YourOldDroog A lot of people were mad/confused about the PM Dawn incident and couldn't deal with the fact that KRS could be 'conscious' and violent at the same time.

Always a tricky game when you decide to name tracks after classics. « New York State of Mind part 3 » ain’t it.

@unkut Exactly. The joints that are good are really good the ones who are bad… really bad. « Writers » and « 3rd childhood » are great.

On first listen, 'Light-Years' is nice. Six killer songs, the standard mix of Nas nailing it and saying dumb shit.

'It's Time' brings back when Premier re-arranged '7 Minutes of Funk' for NYGz, beautiful stuff.

'Madman' is a good one, 'It's Time' and the AZ song are sick.
